And whereas the period for which the said Board was
appointed expired on the twelfth day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and sixteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred
by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby appoint

JOSEPH TORKINGTON,
LAWRENCE CHARLES WHITTAKER,
ANGUS HENRY NEELEY,
MICHAEL SMITH,
THOMAS ERNEST ASHTON,
JAMES DUNNING, and
JOHN EDWARD ASHWORTH

to be the Whangateau Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth
hereby appoint Saturday, the fourth day of November, one
thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at seven o’clock p.m.,
as the time when, and the Domain Hall, Whangateau, as
the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be
held.

SCHEDULE.
WHANGATEAU DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section
No. 156A, Parish of Omaha, containing by admeasurement
15 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less. Bounded towards
the north-west and north generally by a public road, 942·2,
478·7, 135·7, and 602·9 links; towards the east by Section
No. 156C, Parish of Omaha, 1069 links; towards the south
by Whangateau Harbour; and towards the south-west
generally by Sections No. 156B and 156D, Parish of Omaha,
500, 200, and 250 links respectively: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. 1300, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Extending Prohibition of Private Alienation of certain Native
Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of
October, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase
Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-
three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the
power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and
by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amend-
ment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native
Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1916), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend an Order in
Council made the eighteenth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen, for a further period of two years,
but only in so far as it affects the Native land specified in the
Schedule hereto, prohibiting all alienations of such land other
than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Pahiatua County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of
October, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become
a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Mangamaire Road (Peter’s), in the
Wellington Land District, Pahiatua County, commencing at
its junction with Pukewhai Road, and proceeding thence in
a north-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through
Sections 106, 105, 104, Block XIV, Mangahao Survey Dis-
trict, and terminating at the north-western corner of the
said Section 104; being a distance of sixty-eight chains,
more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41001, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in
the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of
October, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and
declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become a county road.

District, Opotiki County, commencing at a point near the
eastern corner of Section 7, Block XI, Waioeka Survey Dis-
trict, and running thence generally in a north-westerly
direction along the left bank of Waioeka River into Block
VII, Waioeka Survey District, and terminating at the south-
western corner of Section 1, Block VII, Waioeka Survey
District, being a distance of sixty chains, more or less. As
the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 41063, deposited in the office of
the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Provincial District, and thereon coloured black.
