NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908; and in the matter of the proposal of the Greymouth Borough Council to take certain lands within the Borough of Greymouth for the purpose of recreation-grounds.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Greymouth Borough Council proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public work—to wit, recreation-grounds. And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained, is deposited in the public office of the said Borough Council situated in Mackay Street, Greymouth, and is open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of such lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the said Borough Council, addressed to the Mayor at the offices of such Borough Council situated in Mackay Street, Greymouth.

OHURA SALEYARDS COMPANY (LIMITED).
A T an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the company held in the Public Hall, Ohura, on Saturday, the 12th day of August, 1916, the following extraordinary resolutions were passed:—
“That the action of the Directors in disposing of the company’s land and yards at Ohura be and is hereby confirmed.
“That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same.
“That Mr. GEORGE DENISON, of Ohura, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator to wind up the same, and he is directed to hand over any surplus to the Wounded Soldiers Fund.”
