T HE following certificate has been executed on the sealed copy of By-laws No. 3 made by the Riccarton Borough Council on the 3rd day of July, 1916.

Constitution of a Special Roading District in terms of Section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.
PURSUANT to section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I do hereby, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District, declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to be a special district for the purposes of the said section; and such district shall be known as the Uruti Special Road District.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I hereby authorize the laying-off of Puckey Avenue, President and Blencowe Streets, Matthews Avenue, and Dunn, Mona, Empire, and Melba Streets, in the Town of Kaitaia Extension No. 5, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Seed Shops in the City of Wellington, under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the seed shops within the City of Wellington, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the city shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 9 p.m. on Fridays, and 1 p.m. on Saturdays:
And whereas the Wellington City Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the seed shops within the City of Wellington:
Now, therefore, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that on and after the 25th day of September, 1916, all such shops in the City of Wellington shall be closed as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 6 p.m.; and on Fridays at 9 p.m. The hours so fixed are pursuant to subsection (4) of the above-mentioned section, to be observed subject to the closing at not later than 1 p.m. for the half-holiday on the statutory closing-day.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Chemists' Shops in the Borough of Eketahuna, under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists' shops within the Borough of Eketahuna has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6 p.m., Saturdays at 9 p.m.; and that on Thursdays (the statutory closing-day) such shops may reopen from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. only for the sale of medicines and surgical appliances:
And whereas the Eketahuna Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists' shops within the Borough of Eketahuna:
Now, therefore, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that on and after the 25th day of September, 1916, all such shops in the Borough of Eketahuna shall be closed accordingly.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Hairdressers and Tobacco-nists' Shops (Combined Trade) in the Borough of Gore, under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the hairdressers and tobacconists' shops (combined trade) within the Borough of Gore, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: (a) In the case of those occupiers that observe the statutory half-holiday on Wednesday, the hours of closing shall be 7 p.m. on the evening of every working-day with the exception of Saturday, on which day the hour of closing shall be 10 p.m., and on the statutory closing-day at 1 p.m.; (b) in the case of those occupiers that observe the statutory half-holiday on Saturday, the hours of closing shall be 7 p.m. on the evening of every working-day with the exception of the statutory closing-day, on which the hour of closing shall be 1 p.m.:
And whereas the Gore Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in the combined trade of hairdresser and tobacconist within the Borough of Gore:
Now, therefore, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that on and after the 25th day of September, 1916, all such shops in the Borough of Gore shall be closed at 7 p.m. in the evening of every working-day in the week, with the exception of Saturday, on which day the closing-hour shall be 10 p.m. The hours so fixed are pursuant to subsection (4) of the above-mentioned section, to be observed subject to the closing at not later than 1 p.m. on Wednesday or Saturday for the statutory half-holiday.
The notice gazetted on the 10th January, 1907, is hereby cancelled.
