Authorities.

I, JAMES ALLEN, Minister of Defence for the Dominion
of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority con-
ferred upon me by the Order in Council made on the 10th
day of November, 1914, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette on the same day, do hereby appoint the following
military officers as Military Authorities for the purpose of
the regulations made by the said Order in Council; and I
declare that each of the Military Authorities so appointed
shall exercise jurisdiction and authority as such throughout
New Zealand:-

Military Authorities.

I, JAMES ALLEN, Minister of Defence for the Dominion
of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority con-
ferred upon me by the Order in Council made on the 10th
day of November, 1914, under the War Regulations Act,

1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the same
day, do hereby cancel the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the 26th November, 1914, appointing certain
military officers as Military Authorities for the purpose of
the regulations made by the said Order in Council.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Hautapu
Drainage District, County of Waikato.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 16th September, 1916.

It is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to
His Excellency the Governor, under the Land Drainage
Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule
hereto may be included in the Hautapu Drainage District.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any
written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclu-
sion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the
first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to
be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN THE HAUTAPU DRAINAGE
DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 592 acres, more or less, and being bounded
towards the north-west by a public road forming the north-
west boundary of Section No. 65, Parish of Tamahere, and
the continuation of same to the road forming the north-
eastern boundary of Section No. 67 of the said parish ; to-
wards the north-east and south-east respectively by the last-
mentioned road and by its continuation to the road which
forms the south-western boundary of Section No. 65 afore-
said; and towards the south-west by the last-mentioned road.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of City
of Christchurch.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 18th September, 1916.

Pursuant to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations
Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a
petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less
than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the
Schedule hereto, being part of the County of Heathcote, has
been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that
the said area may be excluded from the said county and
included in the City of Christchurch. All persons affected
are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or
petitions against the proposed alteration within one month
from the first publication of the notice. Such objections or
petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister
of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF
CHRISTCHURCH.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing
at a point on the City of Christchurch boundary situated on
the left bank of the River Avon at its confluence with Dudley
Creek, and being bounded thence towards the north generally
by a line across Dudley Creek and by the left bank of the
River Avon to a point in line with the western side of the
road forming the western boundary of Section No. 273,
Block XII, Christchurch Survey District ; towards the east
by a right line to and along the said side of that road to the
southern side of Woodham Road, and thence towards the
south and north-west by the City of Christchurch to the
point of commencement.
