HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned Officers of the Staff, the Regiment of Royal New Zealand Artillery, and Territorial Force :—
Staff.
Colonel James Jacob Esson, C.M.G., returned from active service for home duties, to be Deputy Officer in Charge of Administration attached to Headquarters Staff, and is graded as Deputy Quartermaster-General while so employed. Dated 9th September, 1916.
The Regiment of Royal New Zealand Artillery.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 73, dated 11th June, 1915, relative to the granting of temporary rank of Captain to Honorary Lieutenant William Orton Bradley, is cancelled.
Honorary Lieutenant William Orton Bradley is granted the temporary rank of Honorary Captain while employed as Instructor of Artillery in New Zealand Expeditionary Force Training Camps. Dated 27th April, 1915.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, dated 24th August, 1916, relative to the grant of temporary rank of Honorary Captain to Honorary Lieutenant Henry Alexander Wilson, after the words “Honorary Captain” add the words “while employed as Equitation Instructor in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force Training Camps.”

2nd Lieutenant Claude St. Clair Hamilton is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed into the establishment. Dated 5th September, 1916.
16th (Waikato) Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant Ronald Bampton Morton to be Lieutenant, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 6th September, 1916.
New Zealand Army Service Corps.
Lieutenant William Dobson is granted the temporary rank of Captain while employed as Assistant Director of Supplies and Transport, Otago District, and attached to No. 8 Company. Dated 17th May, 1915.
