Declaring Crown Lands in Otago Mining District, Southland Land District, open for Disposal on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-third section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Monday, the twentieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WALLACE COUNTY.—JACOBS RIVER HUNDRED.—OTAGO MINING DISTRICT.

Second-class Land.

SECTION 25, Block XVII: Area, 207 acres 2 roods; capital value, £260; half-yearly rent, £5 4s.

Altitude, from 60 ft. to 370 ft. above sea-level. Undulating and hilly; mostly covered with mixed bush. Soil good in places, on sandstone and diorite formation, broken and peaty towards water-race; well watered by small streams. Access by roughly formed road. Distant four miles from Longwood Railway-station, and about same distance from Oraka Township.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block II, Matapiro Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the lessee of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Hawke’s Bay County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 2 roods 11 perches.

Portion of Section 1, Block II, Matapiro Survey District.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/10B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the Ohura County Council, being the local authority in whose district the land described in the Schedule hereto is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

0 0 26·2, portion of Section 8; coloured red.
0 0 15·7 " 9 " purple.
0 0 24·3 " 10 " red.

Situated in Block I, Matiere Township.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 53865/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the lessee and mortgagee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Waitomo County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required.
