operation of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, did make
and levy a special rate of 11/64ths of a penny in the pound
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Johnsonville Town District,
such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and to be payable yearly on the lst
day of June in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years,
or until the loan was fully paid off : And whereas such reso-
lution was duly gazetted in the New Zealand Gazette on the
8th day of July, 1915, page 2324 : And whereas such special
rate is insufficient to pay the annual or other charges in
connection with such loan and the necessary ten-per-cent.

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the power conferred on it
by section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves to amend the said
special rate of 11/64ths of a penny in the pound on the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Johnsonville Town District, by
increasing the said special rate to 8ths of a penny in the
pound.
The common seal of the Johnsonville Town Board was
hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution
of the Johnsonville Town Board in the presence of—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
CLARK AND THOMPSON.
THE Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, under
the style of “Clark & Thompson,” has been dissolved
by mutual consent as from August 10th, 1915.
Business will be carried on in the premises formerly occupied
by the firm by Mr. ALEXANDER CLARK, under the style of
“Alexander Clark & Co.”; and all debts due to the late
firm must be paid to him, and he will pay all the debts and
carry out all the contracts of the late firm.
Mr. W. J. THOMPSON will carry on business on his own
account at premises in Palmerston North that will be notified
by advertisement.

Communications should be addressed to the Govern-
ment Printer, Wellington, to whom post-office money-
orders should be made payable. Cheques should be
crossed “Public a/c,” and exchange added.
Postage or duty stamps cannot be received in payment
from any place at which postal notes or post-office orders
are issued.
Prepayment may be demanded in any case. In order to
prevent delay in publication, a sufficient remittance should
accompany every advertisement. Any surplus will be re-
turned with receipted account.

of 33s. per annum. including postage, PAYABLE IN
ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be sub-
scribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written
across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of
the day preceding publication.
