land named in the Schedule hereto were declared to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, and which by section two hundred and thirty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, became subject to Part XIV of that Act:
And whereas by subsection three of section two hundred and thirty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained in this section, the Governor may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Board in whose district the land is situated, in any case in which he is of opinion that an equal division of that land in manner aforesaid would be impracticable or inexpedient in the public interest or in the interests of the owners, authorize the division of that land in any other proportion, or authorize the whole of that land to be disposed of either by sale or lease:
And whereas the Waikato-Maniapoto District Maori Land Board has recommended that it is expedient that the whole of the lands set out in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of by way of sale:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby authorize the whole of the said lands set out in the Schedule hereto to be disposed of by way of sale; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Declaring Land to be no longer subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of July, 1915.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time by Order in Council declare that any land subject to Part XIV or XV of the Native Land Act, 1909, and vested in a Maori Land Board, shall no longer be subject to such Parts of that Act, and shall be revested in the Native owners thereof:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto, and known as Otutahuna No. 2 Block, is now, by virtue of an Order in Council made on the fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and by virtue of the provisions of section two hundred and thirty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, subject to Part XIV of the said Act, and vested in the Tokerau District Maori Land Board accordingly:
And whereas the Governor is satisfied that the said land is not subject to any lease, license, contract for sale, or other alienation, and that no moneys are charged on the said land or on the revenue thereof in accordance with the said Act or under any other authority:
And whereas it is expedient that the said land should cease to be subject to Part XIV of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to Part XIV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement 50 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in the Maungaru Survey District, in the Land District of Auckland, and known as Otutahuna No. 2 Block. Bounded towards the north-east by Otutahuna No. 1 Block, towards the south-east generally by the Wairoa River and the Hatoi Block, towards the south-west by the Otutahuna No. 3 Block, and towards the north-west by Section 12, Block IV, Maungaru Survey District.

License authorizing the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company (Limited) to erect Electric Lines from the Generating-house in McDonald Street, Town of Kaitangata, to the Castle Hill Mines in the Bruce County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of July, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued by the Governor in Council under that Act:
And whereas the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company (Limited) (hereinafter referred to as "the licensee") desires to erect lines along the route defined in the Schedule hereto, and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and hereinafter referred to as "the regulations," hereby authorize the licensee to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes, the route of such electric lines being indicated by means of a red line shown on the plans marked P.W.D. 37613 and 38110, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

SCHEDULE.

  1. ROUTE OF LINES.

The route of the electric lines hereby authorized commences at the generator-house in McDonald Street, and proceeds in a north-easterly direction generally through coal reserve and Section 17, Block LXXVI ; across Exmouth Street and Section 5, Block 75 ; across Wangaloa Road, Section 5, Block 79 ; across Wyre Street, Section 10, Block 80 ; all in the Township of Kaitangata : then across Section 14, road, and Section 12, Block 9, Kaitangata Survey District, to the air-shaft of the Castle Hill mines in the said Section 12 : a total distance of seventy chains, more or less. As indicated by a line coloured red on P.W.D. 37613 and 38110, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (c) of clause 2 of the regulations.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 440 volts between the phases.

  1. DATUM TEMPERATURE.

For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as 22 degrees Fahrenheit.
