THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of the
BRITISH EMPIRE PETROLEUM COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND
(LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up
of the above-named company by the Supreme Court
was on the 25th day of June, 1915, presented to the Honour-
able Sir Robert Stout, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of the Supreme
Court, by John George Findlay and Frederick George Dalziell,
of No. 197 Lambton Quay, Wellington, Solicitors, lately
carrying on business under the style of “Findlay, Dalziell,
& Co.,” creditors of the said company; and the said petition
is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on
Friday, the 23rd day of July, 1915, at 10.30 a.m.; and any
creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to
oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said
company under the above Act should appear at the time
of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and
a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or
contributory of the said company requiring the same, by
the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the
same.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the
members of the Carrara Ceiling Company (Limited),
in Liquidation (the old company), will be held at 3 p.m. on
Thursday, 22nd July, 1915, at the office of the Carrara Ceiling
Company (Limited), (the new company), Revans Street,
Wellington South.

BUSINESS.—To receive report from the Liquidator as to
the winding-up of the company, and to consider and, if thought
fit, to pass the following resolution: “That, in accordance
with Article 231 of the Companies Act, the company be
deemed to be dissolved on the expiration of three months
from the date of the Liquidator’s report of this meeting to the
Registrar.”

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

I, EUSTACE MELVIN SIMMERS, M.B., Bac. Surg., 1905,
Univ. Edin., now residing in Wellington, hereby give
notice that I intend applying on the 7th August next to have
my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of
New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of
my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and
Deaths at Wellington.

JOHNSONVILLE TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Johnsonville Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of in-
terest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of
£2,000, authorized to be raised by the said Board, under the
Town Boards Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose
of repaying an overdraft of £2,000 which existed at the date
of the coming into operation of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, the said Johnsonville Town Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 11/64ths of a penny in the pound on
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property in the Johnsonville Town District;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of June in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
