I, RICHARD CADWALADR ROBERTS, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng.), Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians (Lond.), Bachelor of Science (Lond.), now residing in Rakai, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 30th July, 1915, next to have my name placed on the Medical Register for the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Christchurch.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction and improvement and metalling of the road known as the main East Coast Road within the limits of the Takapuna Riding of the County of Waitemata, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Takapuna Riding of the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed, in accordance with law, at a special meeting of the Waitemata County Council held on the eleventh day of June, 1915.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Te Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing an underground sewer drain for the efficient sanitary drainage of property within the area hereinafter described, the said Te Aroha Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area, comprising all that piece of land lying to the south of the Borough of Te Aroha and comprising Blocks 27, 30, 31, part 32, 34, and 35, all of the Te Aroha Township; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on the 4th day of June, 1915.

HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD.

SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN OF £1,000.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Helensville Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 (being a further ten-per-centum loan on the original loan of £10,000), authorized to be raised by the Helensville Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, and more particularly section 18 thereof, for the purpose of completing the water and drainage works, the said Helensville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Helensville Town District, comprising the whole of such district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a meeting of the Helensville Town Board held on Thursday, the tenth day of June, 1915.

NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes,—

(a.) To acquire or provide lands, easements, rights, and appurtenances, and to construct and erect thereon a building or buildings, or municipal offices, and for accommodation of a museum, and to provide for the furniture and equipment of such building or buildings, and any other purpose incidental or in relation thereto.

(b.) The sum to be borrowed for all such purposes is £6,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per cent. per annum, with a sinking fund of ½ per cent. additional.

(c.) The proposed security for the said loan of £6,000 and the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually recurring special rate of 1d. in the pound on the annual value of all rateable property in the borough; and it is proposed to repay the money on the 1st day of April, 1933.

(d.) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the costs of raising the loan, and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year,—

the said Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of New Plymouth. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 18 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed on the 15th day of June, 1915.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £22,000, authorized to be raised by the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes,—

(a.) The sum of £20,800, to construct bridges and culverts and form approaches thereto, and to form, metal, and generally improve the streets and footways of the borough.

(b.) The sum of £1,200, to acquire or provide lands, easements, and appurtenances, and to construct and erect buildings, and to acquire plant, machinery, and equipment for the destruction of refuse.

(c.) Any other purposes incidental to or in relation to any of the said matters.
