Notice of Intention to take Land for Scenic Purposes in Block XI,
Kawhia North Survey District.
N OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation Amend-
ment Act, 1910, to take the land described in the Schedule
hereto for scenic purposes.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at
Oparau, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons
affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37979,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for
the Kew Seed Company, 14 Victoria Parade, Sandycombe
Road, Kew, London.
T HE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zea-
land having reasonable ground for supposing that
the company whose name and address are shown in the
Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent business,
it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and
Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of
the said company shall be issued, and that no postal
packet addressed to the said company or to the Manager,
Secretary, or other officer thereof shall be either registered
or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

RAETIHI TOWN BOARD.
Result of Poll for Proposed Loan of £30,000.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 1st day of July, 1915, a
poll of the ratepayers of the Raetihi Town District was taken
upon the proposals of the Board to raise a special loan of
£30,000, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing a water-supply,
sanitary drainage, electric lighting, and street improvements
as defined on the voting-papers in connection therewith.
At such poll the number of votes recorded was as follows:
For the proposal, 56; against the proposal, 7.
I do therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

Rules with regard to the Citation of Parties to Industrial
Disputes, &c.
T HE following rules for the guidance of Clerks of Awards
and parties to industrial disputes are made by the
Court of Arbitration, by virtue of section 104 of the Indus-
trial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908:—
-
No person, firm, or company shall be cited or named
as a party to an industrial dispute unless the occupation and
full postal address of such person, firm, or company be also
given; and if the party cited or named be an individual, his
correct initial or initials shall also be given. -
If any person, firm, or company duly cited shall appear
before the Court at the hearing of a dispute, either in person
or by representative duly appointed, and shall make objec-
tion to being cited or named as a party to the dispute on the
grounds that he or it is not engaged in the industry, the
onus shall be upon the union of proving that such person,
firm, or company is so engaged. -
If any person, firm, or company duly cited shall appear
before the Court at the hearing of the dispute, either in
person or by representative duly appointed, and shall make
objection under the preceding rule, and the Court shall
uphold such objection, and make an order striking out from
the list of parties the name of such person, firm, or company,
then and in such case the Court may, upon application in that
behalf, order that the union do pay to such person, firm, or
company the expenses (according to the Magistrates’ Court
scale for the attendance of witnesses) of the person or repre-
sentative so appearing, together with the travelling-expenses
(if any) incurred by such person or representative in so
appearing. -
The foregoing rules, numbered 1 to 3 (inclusive), shall
apply, mutatis mutandis, to any application to add parties
to an industrial dispute or award.
