HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the undermentioned grants of temporary rank, appointments, and promotions of officers in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force:—

Grant of Temporary Rank.

Major Alexander Burnett Charters, 17th (Ruahine) Regiment, to have the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while in command of the New Zealand Section, Infantry Base Depot, Alexandria. Dated 5th April, 1915.
Major Alfred Henry Herbert, 9th (Wellington East Coast) Mounted Rifles, to have the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while in command of the Maori Contingent. Dated 26th March, 1915.
Lieutenant Norman Fitzherbert, Officer in Charge of Records, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, to have the temporary rank of Captain while so employed. Dated 5th April, 1915.
