COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON 21ST DAY OF MAY, 1915.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £450, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of the Mangapōiki River Bridge No. 2, Porter’s Crossing, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangapōiki Bridge No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising south portion Section Mangapōiki B, 85 acres; part Small Grazing-run 75A, 1,779 acres; part Small Grazing-run 76A, 1,950 acres; part 2A, Mangapōiki, 7,412 acres; Section 3, Block II, Nuhaka Survey District; part Section 1, Block II, Nuhaka Survey District, 50 acres. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four and a half per cent.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £137, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the completion of the Maraetaha Bridge, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Maraetaha Bridge Loan Special-rating District, comprising all those lands within the following boundaries :—
Commencing at the north-west corner of Maraetaha No. 1 Block; thence by the northern boundary of the said Maraetaha No. 1 Block, and Subdivisions A, B, C of the same to the sea; thence by the sea-coast to Paritu; thence by the Wairoa County boundary to the western boundary of Section No. 2, Block XI, Nuhaka North Survey District; thence northward by a road to the northern boundary of the Puninga Block; thence by Section No. 3, and part No. 3, and by 4 and 5 of Maraetaha No. 2 Block, to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four and a half per cent.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Southland County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Southland County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reforming and metalling the following roads in the special-rating area hereinafter described—namely, J. McKenzie’s Road, J. Casey’s Road, Bush Road down to Ericson’s Road, Ocean View Road, and Tokonui-Otara Road—the said Southland County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Otara Special-rating Area described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of September and the first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
Otara Special-rating Area.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded by a line starting at a point on coast-line immediately south of the southernmost corner of Section 10, Block VII, Otara District; thence north to north-east corner of Section 3A, Block VII aforesaid; thence west to south-west corner of Section 6 of the said Block VII; thence northerly along the west boundary of Sections 6 and 7 of said Block VII to the north-west corner of Section 7 aforesaid; thence west to the south-west corner of Section 47, Block VI, of the said Otara District; thence north to the south-west corner of Section 40 of the said Block VI; thence north-westerly along south-west boundary of Section 3, Block III, of the said Otara District to a point in line with the north boundary of Section 8 of the said Block III; thence west to the south-west corner of Section 4 of the said Block III; thence north to the centre of Tokonui Stream; thence in a south-west direction along centre of said stream to a point in line with the south boundary of Block X, Toetoes District; thence west to the north-west corner of Section 4, Block XI, of said Toetoes District; thence south to the main road; thence in a right line to the north corner of Section 3, Block XI aforesaid; thence south-west along the north-west boundary of said Section 3 and that boundary continued to the centre of Tokonui Stream; thence along centre of that stream to coast-line; and thence along said coast-line to the starting-point.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Southland County Council held on Friday, the 14th day of May, 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that under a deed of assignment dated the 10th day of March, 1915, the Guardian, Trust, and Executors Company of New Zealand (Limited) has become the sole trustee of the above-named K. B. MCNAB’s estate for the benefit of all creditors.
Creditors are requested to forward their claims to the company’s office, Union Buildings, Customs Street East, Auckland, on or before the 10th day of June, 1915.
Claims not received by that date will not be recognized.
