Altering Boundaries of Manukau and Franklin Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the principal Act is in force :
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Manukau County Council on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and sealed with the seal of the Council of the said county on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen: And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Franklin County Council on the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, praying for the inclusion in the Manukau County of that part of the Franklin County described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration in accordance with the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Franklin County, shall, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Manukau County; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Manukau and Franklin respectively shall as from the aforesaid date be those set forth under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO MANUKAU COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by the sea from the northernmost corner of Waitawa Block to the Puwhenua Stream; thence towards the south by Wharekawa No. 5 Block to the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 102, Otai Parish; thence towards the west generally by the said Allotment 102 and Allotments 101 and 100; again towards the south by the last-mentioned allotment and by the road forming its northern boundary and the northern boundary of Allotment 100A, by Allotments 97A, 97, and the road forming its western boundary, to and by the northern boundary of Allotment 89 to its north-western corner; thence towards the west by Allotments 85, 84, and 82 to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; thence towards the north by the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 77 and 76 to the road forming the north-western boundaries of Allotments 74A and 74B; thence by that road to the Kiripaka Block; thence by the western boundaries of the Kiripaka Block, Te Kawakawa No. 2, Te Kawakawa, and Waitawa Blocks to the sea, the place of commencement.
Also that area, being Allotment No. 86, Parish of Otai, bounded towards the north by Allotment 31 from the Wairoa River to and by the crossing of the road forming the eastern boundary of the said Allotment 31; thence by the eastern side of the said road to the southern boundary of Allotment 85; thence by Allotment 85 to its south-eastern corner; thence towards the east by Allotment 89; towards the south generally by Allotments 90, 67, and 2 to the Wairoa River; and towards the west by the Wairoa River to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF FRANKLIN COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Manukau Harbour from the South Head of that harbour to the Pahurehure River; thence by that river to the south-western corner of Papakura Town District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 69, of the 17th August, 1882; thence by the said town district to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 16, Kerikeri Settlement; thence across a road, and by Allotments 28, 29, 30, 228, 33, 34, and 171, Hunua Parish, to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by that road to Allotment 170; thence by that allotment to the road reserve on its north-eastern boundary; thence by a line through the said reserve to the middle of the road forming the southern boundary of Allotment 172; thence by a line along the middle of that road and the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 172, 173, and 174, Hunua Parish, to a point opposite the westernmost corner of Allotment 113; thence by a right line to and by the said Allotment 113 to the Wairoa River; thence by that river to a point opposite the southern boundary of
