Constituting the Town District of Takaka, in the County of Takaka.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said area shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Takaka Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.
SCHEDULE.
TAKAKA TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Te Kakau River with the Takaka River; thence along the eastern bank of the said Te Kakau River to the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 17, Block VI, Waitapu Survey District; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that section to and across Waitapu Road, and along the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 13 to Section No. 11, Block VI aforesaid; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section No. 11 and part of its south-eastern boundary to Subdivision 3 of Section No. 10, Block X, Waitapu Survey District; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Subdivision 3 to the closed road forming the north-western boundary of Section No. 9; thence along the north-western side of the said closed road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Subdivision 6 of the said Section No. 9; thence across the closed road, along the south-western boundary of Subdivision 6 aforesaid, across a public road, and along the south-western boundary of Subdivision 3 of the said Section No. 9 to the Motupipi River; and thence along the north bank of that river to the Takaka River, and along the right bank of the Takaka River to the Te Kakau River, the place of commencement.
(Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majestyโs Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twentieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Waimate County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 18 acres 1 rood 17 perches.
Portion of Sections 16666, Block V, and 16681 and 16682, Block VI, Waimate Survey District.
