STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of municipal public offices and a public library in one building, on Section 326, Town of Stratford (municipal reserve), situate in Broadway, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-twentieths of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Stratford, comprising the whole of the said Borough of Stratford ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Stratford Borough Council held on Wednesday, the 14th day of April, 1915.

WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,500, authorized to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for drainage-works, the said Waimate Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths (5/8d.) of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waimate, comprising the whole of the Borough of Waimate ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on the 13th day of April, 1915.

ONERAHI TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Onerahi Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £600, which the said Board is authorized to raise, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a town hall and public offices for the Onerahi Town District, the said Onerahi Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5/16ths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Onerahi Town District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Onerahi Town Board was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Onerahi Town Board in the presence of—

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

HOANI ROAD SPECIAL LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming, culverting, grading, and metalling Hoani Road, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hoani Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 2B 9 of Section 1, 2A 8 of Section 1, 1, 3, pt. 4, pt. 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Section 1, Block V, Cape Survey District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a correct copy of the resolution passed by the Taranaki County Council at a properly constituted meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, the second day of March, 1915, and appearing in the minute-book of the said Council, page 86.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £200.—PUKEPAPA AND NO. 7 (STUART’S) ROADS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and culverting the Pukepapa and No. 7 (Stuart’s) Roads from the Bull’s–Turakina Road to the Lake Alice Road, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny (1/9d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Pukepapa Special-rating District, comprising Lot 1, being part Section 48 (46 ac. 2 r. 3 p.) ; part Lot 2, being part Section 48 (15 acres) ; Lot 3, being part Section 47 (141 ac. 3 r. 17 p.) ; part Lot 4, being part of Section 44 (16 acres) ; Lot 5, being part Sections 44 and 47 (64 ac. 3 r. 34·9 p.) ; Lot 6, being parts Sections XI, 44, 62, and 66 (272 ac. 0 r. 3·6 p.) ; all the above being part Lake Alice Land Settlement Association D.P. 2885 : part Section 44 (15 ac. 1 r. 2 p.) ; parts Sections 39, 43, and 44, and part closed road (100 acres) ; parts Sections 39, 43, and 65 (138 ac. 3 r. 1 p.) ; parts Sections XI, 39, 43, 44, 62, 65, and part closed road (271 ac. 3 r. 33 p.) ; Lot 4A, being parts Sections 66 and 74 (212 ac. 2 r. 13 p.) ; and parts Sections XI, 66, and 74 (511 acres) : the whole being contained within Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District, and as shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers’ consent to the said loan. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 10th day of April, 1915,
