Varied Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Tobacconists’ Shops in the Borough of Woodville under the Shops and Offices Act.


WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists’ shops in the Borough of Woodville, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 10 p.m. on Saturdays:

And whereas the Woodville Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists’ shops within the Borough of Woodville:

Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that, from and after the 26th day of April, 1915, all tobacconists’ shops within the Borough of Woodville shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

The notice gazetted on the 25th November, 1909, fixing the closing-hours of all shops in the Borough is hereby varied accordingly.

Defining Tauranga River and Extended-river Limits.


IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Marine, do hereby define the Tauranga limits within which restricted-limit steamships and ships propelled by gas, oil, fluid, electricity, or any mechanical power other than steam, and to which restricted-limit certificates are issued, may ply to be those set forth herein, and I do divide such limits into river and extended-river limits.

River Limits.—Inside the Heads of Tauranga Harbour, including inside passage to Katikati.

Extended-river Limits.—Between Katikati and the new outlet of Rangitaiki River.

Previous limits are hereby revoked.

Defining Whakatane, Ohiwa, and Opotiki River and Extended-river Limits.

Whakatane.

River Limits.—Inside the bar of Whakatane River.

Extended-river Limits.—Between the new outlet of Rangitaiki River and Opape Point, including Whale Island and Rurima Rocks.

Ohiwa.

River Limits.—Inside the bar of Ohiwa River.

Extended-river Limits.—Between the new outlet of Rangitaiki River and Opape Point, including Whale Island and Rurima Rocks.

Opotiki.

River Limits.—Inside the bar of Opotiki River.

Extended-river Limits.—Between the new outlet of Rangitaiki River and Opape Point, including Whale Island and Rurima Rocks.

Previous limits for these places are hereby revoked.

Additional Land at Pokeno taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land at Pokeno, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Notice of Intent to take Land in Block I, Piopiotea Survey District, for the Purposes of Departmental Buildings, Taumarunui.


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of departmental buildings, Taumarunui, Block I, Piopiotea Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Works Office at Taumarunui, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood.

Portion of Section 14A, Township of Taumarunui (S.O. 18225, blue).

Situated in Block I, Piopiotea Survey District.
