Dismissals of Territorials from the New Zealand Defence Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to dismiss the undermentioned Territorials from the New Zealand Defence Forces, under section 6 (b), Defence Act, 1909, they having been convicted by the Civil power:

Private FREDERICK BATHURST, 16th (Waikato) Regiment.
Private HENRY GEORGE HAY POWLEY, 14th (South Otago) Regiment.

Special Order made by the Porangahau Road Board making By-laws.

Wellington, 15th April, 1915.

THE following special order, made by the Porangahau Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

PORANGAHU ROAD BOARD.

Special Meeting held on 5th October, 1914.

RESOLVED that, in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and of all other powers and provisions enabling it in this behalf, the Porangahau Road Board doth hereby make and ordain the following by-laws, that is to say :-

  1. Between the 1st day of April and the 31st day of August in any year the width of tires and the maximum number of horses or bullocks to be used in the several classes of vehicles mentioned hereunder shall be as follows,-

(a.) A two-wheeled dray, with or without springs, with tires of 4 in. or more in width, to be drawn by not more than three horses or four bullocks.
(b.) A four-wheeled wagon, with or without springs, with tires of 4 in. or more in width, to be drawn by not more than four horses or four bullocks.
(c.) A four-wheeled goods-brake or express on steel springs or thorough-braces, with tires of 3 in. or more in width, to be drawn by not more than three horses.
(d.) A four-wheeled passenger-coach on steel springs or thorough-braces, with tires of 2Β½ in. or more in width, to be drawn by not more than five horses.

The above regulations will take effect on the following roads, viz. :-

The whole of the road known as the Mangaorapa Road from its junction with the Patangata County Road to its southern end at the boundary of Section 7, Block I, Tautane Survey District.

The whole of the road known as Skipper's Road from its junction with the Mangaorapa Road at Section 7 (school-site), Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, to its end in the Ngapaeruru Block 7c, Mangatoro Survey District.

The whole of the road known as the Te Tohi Road from its junction with the Mangaorapa Road at the Mangaorapa Bridge to its end at the boundary of S.G.R. 75, Mangatoro Survey District.

The whole of the road known as the Te Uri Road from its junction with the Mangaorapa Road at the Waitatara Stream to the boundary of the Porangahau Road District at the western corner of S.G.R. 74.

  1. Any person committing a breach of the above regulations will be subject to a penalty not exceeding Β£5 for every such offence.

I hereby certify that the special order making above by-laws was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908.

THE following special order, made by the Wallingford Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

WALLINGFORD ROAD BOARD.

Special Meeting held on 5th October, 1914.

RESOLVED that, in pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Acts amending the same, and of all other Acts, powers, and provisions enabling it in this behalf, the Wallingford Road Board doth hereby make and ordain the following by-laws, that is to say :-
