Conferring Jurisdiction on Native Land Court.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1915.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two of the Poukawa Native Reserve Act, 1903, certain lands described in the Schedule to such Act were vested in the Public Trustee and directed to be held and administered under the West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892: And whereas, pursuant to such first-mentioned Act, a certificate of title, Volume 48, folio 268, in the name of the Public Trustee, was issued in respect of the said land, comprising three thousand six hundred and eighty acres fifteen perches, situate in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, being the land known as the Poukawa Reserve, delineated on plan deposited as No. 1935: And whereas by orders of the Native Land Court made at Hastings on the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and two, the said land was partitioned in manner set out in each order, one of the portions so partitioned being described as Subdivision 13: And whereas it is desirable in the interests of the Native owners of Subdivision 13 that such subdivision be further partitioned: And whereas by section sixteen of the West Coast Settlement Reserves Act, 1892, it is enacted that with respect to any lands subject to such last-mentioned Act the Native Land Court shall not have jurisdiction unless the Governor in Council shall otherwise from time to time, at the request of the Public Trustee, direct such jurisdiction to be exercised:
And whereas the Public Trustee has requested the Governor in Council to confer the necessary jurisdiction on the Native Land Court to further partition the said Subdivision 13:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section sixteen of the latter mentioned Act, doth hereby confer on the Native Land Court, in respect of the said Subdivision 13, jurisdiction to partition the same as fully and effectively as though the said Subdivision 13 were Native freehold land not subject to any specific trust, and subject to the jurisdiction of the Court by virtue of the Native Land Act, 1909.

Chatham Islands County assigned to the North Canterbury Hospital District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1915.

WHEREAS the Chatham Islands County is not included in any hospital district: And whereas it is desirable that the said county should be included in the North Canterbury Hospital District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section seven of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby assign the Chatham Islands County to the North Canterbury Hospital District, such assignment to take effect as from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Declaring Portions of Mangaorapa and Te Tohi Roads, in the Porangahau Road District, Patangata County, to be District Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1915.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become district roads.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Patangata County, Porangahau Road District, known as Mangaorapa Road, commencing at the Mangaorapa Stream Bridge on the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally adjoining or passing through the said Section 2, Sections 4, 6, and 9, Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, and terminating at a point on the northern boundary of Section 10, Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles 30 chains, more of less.
Also all that portion of road in the said land district, county, and road district, known as Te Tohi Road, commencing at its junction with Mangaorapa Road, on the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, and proceeding thence in a westerly direction generally adjoining or passing through the said Section 2, slip, and part Section 1, Block XVII, Porangahau Survey District, and terminating at a point near the north-eastern corner of the said Section 1, being a distance of 80 chains, more or less.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37515, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, 1915.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County, known as Harvey Road, commencing at its junction with the Ohura Main Road, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally to its junction with Tokirima Road, being a distance of two miles, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36927, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
