Section contains a good homestead-site, and is watered by natural streams, which, however, give out in dry summers; water can be obtained by sinking. Distant about a mile and a half from the post-office by good metalled road. 344 chains of fencing, valued at £145, is included in price of section.
Sections 10, 10A, and 10B.—Section 10 : Altitude, from about 100 ft. to 1,400 ft. above sea-level. About 20 acres agricultural land, balance hilly pastoral land carrying tussock and native grasses. Watered by natural streams. Distant about five miles and a half from post-office—four miles good metalled road, balance, a mile and a half up Maxwell Pass, will shortly be formed. Fencing, 538 chains, valued at £261, is included in the price of the section. Sections 10A and 10B: Homestead-site for Section 10, practically level. Altitude about 80 ft. above sea-level. Section 10A fair agricultural land, 10B lighter soil and stony in places. Watered by natural streams. Access by Taylor Pass Road, a good well-metalled road. Distance from post-office is about four miles.
Section 11.—Altitude, from 120 ft. to 1,500 ft. above sea-level. Distant about five miles from post-office—four miles good metalled road, balance by Maxwell Pass Road, which will be formed shortly. All pastoral country; steep and broken in places, but contains some good easy spurs and sidellngs; carrying tussock and native grasses; watered by natural streams. Homestead-site on Maxwell Pass Road. Fencing, 227 chains, valued at £105 10s., is included in the price of section.
Section 12.—Altitude, from 100 ft. to 1,500 ft. Distant about four miles and a half from post-office—four miles on good metalled road, and balance up Maxwell Pass, which will be formed shortly. Watered by natural streams. All clean pastoral country, consisting of easy spurs and slopes generally; carrying tussock and native grasses; no improvements.
Section 13.—Altitude, from 80 ft. to 1,400 ft. above sea-level. Distant about four miles and a quarter from post-office. Access by good metalled road. Watered by natural streams. All clean pastoral country; rather broken in places, but contains good easy slopes and sidellngs; carrying tussock and native grasses; no improvements on section.
Section 14.—Altitude, from 70 ft. to 1,300 ft. above sea-level. Distant about three miles from post-office. Access by good metalled road. Watered by natural streams, which, however, may give out in a dry summer. 60 acres ploughable land, 40 acres of which is fair agricultural land, balance rather stony. Remainder of section hilly pastoral land, with easy slopes, carrying tussock and native grasses. Fencing, 293 chains, valued at £215 10s., is included in the price of section. The Golf Club will be allowed one month from date of sale within which to remove its golf-house from this section.
Section 15.—Altitude, from 60 ft. to 1,350 ft. above sea-level. Distant about two miles from post-office (Blenheim). Access by Taylor Pass Road—a good, well-metalled, practically level road. Watered by natural streams, which, however, may give out in a dry season; but water can be obtained by sinking. About 200 acres fair agricultural land; balance pastoral country, and consists of easy slopes and spurs carrying tussock and native grasses. Fencing included in the price of section consists of 522 chains, valued at £291.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Waitaki.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Waitaki-Waimate Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Waitaki and Waimate and part of the County of Mackenzie, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

RED-DEER stags may be taken or killed within the Waitaki-Waimate Acclimatization District from the 1st day of April, 1915, to the 20th day of May, 1915 (both days inclusive).

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Oamaru, on the recommendation of the secretary of the Waitaki Branch of the Waitaki and Waimate Acclimatization Society, at Oamaru, on payment of a license fee of £3, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and the regulations made thereunder.

No licensee shall take or kill more than four stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points. Ball cartridge only to be used.

An additional license to take or kill red-deer stags may be issued to any person at a fee of £2, and no holder of such additional license shall take or kill more than two stags under or by virtue of such license, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points. Ball cartridge only to be used.

No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

The licensee must give notice to the said Chief Postmaster of the date on which it is his intention to stalk deer; such notice to be posted, or delivered, or telegraphed three clear days before such date.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

REGULATIONS.

FALLOW-DEER bucks may be taken or killed within the Grey District Acclimatization District from the 16th day of March, 1915, to the 15th day of May, 1915, both days inclusive.

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Greymouth on payment of a license fee of £2, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses shall not exceed fifteen; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than four bucks, and no buck shall be killed carrying antlers with less than four points.

No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.
