Land taken for the Purposes of a Road and Gravel-pit in
Blocks II, Tutaki, and XIV, Matiri Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for certain public works - to wit, for the purposes
of a road and gravel-pit in Blocks II, Tutaki, and XIV,
Matiri Survey Districts:

And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in
terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such
land for the public works hereinafter set forth:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation
taking the land as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the
agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the said road and gravel-
pit; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the thirteenth day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

SCHEDULE.

For Road.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken: 30 perches
and 11 perches.

Portion of Section 130, Block II, Tutaki Survey District.

For Gravel-pit.

Approximate area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods.

Portion of Section 131, Block XIV, Matiri Survey District.

All in the Nelson Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37075,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of
February, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen.

Revoking a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a
Gasworks in the Borough of Lyttelton.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909,
it is enacted that if at any time after the issue of any
Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908,
and before the payment or award of any compensation in
respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any
part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was
taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in
relation to that Proclamation, or the making or gazetting
thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation
gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation either wholly or so
far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that the land in the Borough of
Lyttelton taken for the purposes of a gasworks by a Pro-
clamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, and dated
the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and fourteen (hereinafter termed "the said Proclamation"),
and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 113, pages 3826
and 3827, of the twenty-second day of the same month, is
incorrectly described:

And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the
said land has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the said Pro-
clamation.

Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Frasertown
Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this first day
of February, 1915.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the
said Act"), it is enacted that the Governor may from time
to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such
persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain
Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of
such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-
first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four,
certain powers were delegated to the Frasertown Domain
Board for a period of ten years:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers con-
ferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby appoint

ALBERT EDWARD BECKETT,
HENRY THOMPSON JOHNSON,
FREDERICK PARKER,
VICTOR EMMANUEL WINTER, and
WILLIAM GOLDSTONE

to be the Frasertown Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and
subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby
appoint Monday, the fifteenth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen, at half past seven o'clock p.m., as
the time when, and the Public Library at Frasertown as the
place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

FRASERTOWN DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 31 acres 2 roods 14 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 152, Frasertown. Bounded towards the
north-east by public road for a distance of 1250 links ; towards
the south-east by public road for a distance of 2436 links;
towards the south-west by public road for a distance of
1260 links; and towards the north-west by public road for
a distance of 2598 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and
S. I/52A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
