to the Ashley and Kaiapoi Road, by that road to the road
north-west of Section No. 1121, by that road and by Boy’s
direct Rangiora Road and Young’s Road to the Cann River ;
thence by that river to the W ikoruru Road, and by the
north-western side of the W ikoruru Road and the Okaihau
Road and the production of the north-western side of the last-
mentioned road to the Rosewarne Creek, and by that creek
to Gladstone Road ; thence by Gladstone Road and the
production of its southern side to the sea ; thence towards
the east by the sea to the right bank of the Waimakariri
River ; thence towards the south generally by the right bank
of that river to a point due north of Trig. Station C 30 in
Block VIII, Rolleston Survey District ; and thence towards
the west by a right line running due north to the Oxford and
Ohoka Road, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the first day of February, in the year
of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Regis-
tration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known
as the Rangiora and Kaiapoi Districts, and do proclaim and
declare that the said districts are hereby reconstituted
registration districts with boundaries conterminous with
the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same
names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date
herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act,
1908.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the first day of February, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section two hundred and eight of
the Land Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority
enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the pastoral lands
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the
provisions of sections two hundred and eight to two hundred
and twenty-two of Part V of the Land Act, 1908, and
amendments thereto, relating to small grazing-runs.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—OPOTIKI COUNTY.—OTIPI SURVEY
DISTRICT.
SECTION 2, Block II, and Section 2, Block V : Area, 4,250
acres.
Section 1, Block V : Area, 2,900 acres.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Gisborne-Karaka
Railway to take further land at Park Racecourse, in addition
to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said
railway :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me
by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land : 3·87 perches and
0·03 perches.
Portions of Lots 40 and 41, Elgin Extension No. 2, part
Matawhero B or 5 Block (S.O. 755).
Situated in Block II, Turanganui Survey District, Cook
County.
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District ; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22026,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
lington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon
coloured blue.

ment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall
lay, construct, put up, place, or use any electric line except
under the authority of a license issued to him by the Governor
in Council under that Act :
