A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Rangiora and Kaiapoi Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the said districts are hereby reconstituted marriage districts with boundaries as follows:—
RANGIORA DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north-east generally by a right line from Block Hill to the source of the south branch of the Waipara River, and by that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Section No. 29653 in Block XIII, Waipara Survey District; thence by a right line to and by the summit of the range east of Bird’s Eye Stream, and by the summit of the range to Mount Grey; thence by a right line to McLeod’s Road at the northernmost corner of Section No. 33996 in Block XV, Grey Survey District; thence by McLeod’s Road, Bruere’s Road, and the Rangiora and Leithfield Road to Carr’s Road, by that road to the Main Trunk Railway line, and by the railway-line to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section No. 2137 in Block IV, Rangiora Survey District; thence by that road and its continuation southwards to the left bank of the Ashley River, and by the left bank of that river to the sea; thence towards the east by the sea to a point in line with the southern side of Gladstone Road; thence towards the south generally by a right line to and by the southern side of that road to Rosewarne Creek, and by that creek to a point in line with the north-western side of Okaihau Road; thence by a right line to and by the north-western side of that road and of Waikoruru Road to the Cann River, and by that river to Young’s Road, by that road to Boy’s direct Rangiora Road, by that road to a road north-west of Section No. 1121, by that road to the Ashley and Kaiapoi Road, by that road to the road east of Section No. 2460, by that road and the road north of Section No. 6610 to a drain reserve, by that reserve to Egan’s Road, by Egan’s Road to the Oxford and Kaiapoi Road, by that road to Barker’s Road, by Barker’s Road, McRobert’s Road, Patterson’s Road, and the Cust and Eyre Road to the Oxford and Ohoka Road, and by that road to a point due north of Trig. Station C 30 in Block VIII, Rolleston Survey District; thence towards the west by a line running due north to the right bank of the Ashley River, and by the right bank of that river to its source near Block Hill; and thence by a right line to Block Hill, the place of commencement.
KAIAPOL DISTRICT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Oxford and Ohoka Road from a point due north of Trig. Station C 30 in Block VIII, Rolleston Survey District, to its junction with the Cust and Eyre Road, by that road to Patterson’s Road, by Patterson’s Road, McRobert’s Road, and Barker’s Road to the Oxford and Kaiapoi Road, by that road to Egan’s Road, by Egan’s Road, a drain reserve west of Section No. 6610, the road
ERRATUM.—In the first line of the Schedule to the Order in Council, dated the 9th November, 1914, published in Gazette No. 121, page 4035, of the 12th November, 1914, declaring portion of Takiri Road in the Waitomo County to be a county road, for “Auckland” read “Taranaki.”
