Revocation of certain Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces,
and Others substituted.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke certain of the regulations
for the New Zealand Military Forces made on the twenty-second
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and in
lieu thereof do hereby make the regulations set forth in the Schedule
hereto; and I do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect
and such regulations shall come into force on the thirtieth day of
January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.
SCHEDULE.
NEW ZEALAND FORCES MOTOR RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
REGULATIONS 687 and 688' are hereby revoked, and the following
substituted in lieu thereof:—

Officers shall receive pay at the rates prescribed in para-
graph 305, Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations. -
The allowance for the use of cars will be as laid down in
paragraph 306, Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations.

and fifteen.

Warrant vesting Control of Portion of Te Rakihou Road North
in the Manawatu County Council, and apportioning the Cost
of Construction and Maintenance of the Same.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by section twelve of the Public Works
Amendment Act, 1909 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is provided that where a road or street lies
along the boundary of two or more districts, whether that
road or street is wholly within or is partly within one and
partly within another of those districts, or is within none of
those districts, the Governor may from time to time, by
Warrant under his hand gazetted, direct which of the local
authorities of those districts shall have control of the road
or street, or any part thereof, and may also in like manner
determine from time to time whether any of those local
authorities shall contribute to the cost of the construction
and maintenance of that road or street, and, if so, in what
proportions:
And whereas the portion of the road known as Te Rakihou
Road North, described in the Schedule hereto, and hereinafter
termed “the said portion of road,” forms part of the boundary
between the Manawatu and Oroua Counties:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into between
the Manawatu and Oroua County Councils regarding the
control and cost of construction and maintenance of the said
portion of road, and it is expedient that effect should be given
thereto, and that provisions should be made for the purposes
and in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in me by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby direct that,
from and after the date of this Warrant, the said portion of
road shall be under the control of the Manawatu County
Council; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the afore-
said powers and authorities, I do hereby fix and determine
that the cost of constructing and maintaining the said portion
of road shall be borne in the following proportions, viz.—
the Manawatu County Council shall bear half of such cost,
and the Oroua County Council shall bear half of such cost
respectively.
And I do also further direct that any contribution hereby
required to be made as aforesaid by the Oroua County
Council shall be paid from time to time in the proportion
hereinbefore described, out of the funds of the Oroua County
Council, within a period of thirty days after demand in
writing made by or on behalf of the Manawatu County
Council, and that such payments shall be made from time
to time to the Clerk of the Manawatu County Council for
and on account of the Oroua County Council.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road known as Te Rakihou Road North,
situated in the Wellington Land District, between the Mana-
watu and Oroua Counties, commencing at the south-western
corner of Section 116, Block IX, Oroua Survey District, and
proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a
distance of about 96 chains to the north-western corner of
the said Section 116, and proceeding thence in an easterly
direction generally for a distance of about 18 chains, ad-
joining the said Section 116, being a total distance of 114
chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36703,
and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this second day of February, one thousand nine
hundred and fifteen.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory
Declarations.
PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices
of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set
out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office
of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at
the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are
authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under
the two hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of
the Peace Act, 1908.
