river to and along the Rangiriri Stream to Section 3, Block
XII, Motu Survey District, and along the eastern boundary of
that section and of Sections 1 and 2, Block VIII, to the
southernmost corner of Mangatu No. 4 Block; along the
south-eastern boundary of that block to Trig. Station,
No. 141, Mangahaumia; and thence along a right line to
Trig. Station No. 140, Pungarehu, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the second day of January, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration
Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Regis-
tration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known
as the Opotiki and Gisborne Districts, and do proclaim and
declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said districts is hereby divided anew into three registra-
tion districts, the names whereof shall be the Opotiki, Motu,
and Gisborne Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be
conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts
bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation
of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the
Marriage Act, 1908.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the second day of January, in the year of
our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-
Napier Railway to take further land at Opapa, in addition
to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said
railway :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me
by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight
of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 36Β·1 perches.
Portion of Subdivision 6, Poukawa Native Reserve (S.O.
511, green).
Situated in Block IX, Te Mata Survey District, Hawke's
Bay County.
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 23178,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
lington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon
coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
