purpose of building a bridge over the Ngatoro River on the Bedford Road, forming and metalling approaches to same, and deviating the road, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and five-twelfths (2d. and 5/12d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ngatoro Special-rating District, comprising part Section 5, Sections 6, 7, 8, 127, 128, 138, and 139, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly constituted special meeting of the Moa Road Board held on the 2nd day of October, 1915.

LAMMERMOOR MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Lammermoor Mining Company (Limited) held at the registered office of the company, No. 152 High Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 19th day of November, 1915, at 2.30 p.m., the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed:—

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the company be wound up accordingly under the Companies Act, 1908; and that GEORGE ARTHUR HARLOW, Accountant, of Dunedin, is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

UNDER SECTION 3 OF THE ORCHARD AND GARDEN DISEASES ACT, 1908.—SPECIAL ORDER RESCINDING SUSPENSION OF THIRD SCHEDULE.

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Orchard and Garden Diseases Act, 1908, the Council of the County of Amuri hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the suspension of the Third Schedule of the said Act has been rescinded within the county.

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL.

MOTOR REGULATION ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council held at the County Offices, Belvedere Street, Carterton, on the twenty-fourth day of November, 1915, the said Council decided to bring into operation Part II of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, empowering the said Council to become a registering authority under that Act.

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of the Counties Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, under and pursuant to the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, that it is proposed by the Council of the County of Waimate to execute a certain public work—to wit, a gravel-pit in part of Education Reserve 1177, Waitaki Survey District, being a local work; and for the purposes of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken for the said work, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such land so far as they can be ascertained, is deposited in the office of the County Council in Queen Street, Waimate, by direction of the said Council (the said land not being within a road district), and is there open to inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. And notice is hereby also given that all persons affected by execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the local authority, being the Council of the County of Waimate.
