THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by
law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of
such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908, and the Scenery Preservation
Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for scenic purposes as aforesaid;
and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the eleventh day of November, one
thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—
8 acres 2 roods 16 perches, portion of Kinohaku West
L No. 2b Block. Coloured red on plan.
5 acres 1 rood 24 perches, portion of Taumatatotara
No. 1a Block, Section 2. Coloured purple on plan.

Situated in Block XI, Kawhia South Survey District
(S.O. 16914).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38314,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day
of November, in the year of our Lord one thou-
sand nine hundred and fifteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Native School in Block II,
Mahia Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the pur-
poses of a Native school in Block II, Mahia Survey District:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms
of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for
the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation
taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the
agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said Native
school; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the eleventh day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 7 acres 1 rood
20 perches.
Being Section 2, part Whangawehi 1a Block (Hawke’s Bay
R.D.).
Situated in Block II, Mahia Survey District.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39082,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of November, in the year of our Lord one
thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

of a Native school in Block IX, Ruatahuna Survey District:

land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
