in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Pukekohe Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 1 rood 16 perches and 2 roods 30·4 perches.
Portions of railway reserve (S.O. 18328, blue).
Situated in Block XI, Drury Survey District, Borough of Pukekohe.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22783, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington; in the Wellington Provincial District, and hereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King and it shall vest accordingly, and shall become Crown land:
And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Waikato-Maniapoto District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:
And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly considered and adopted the resolution:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block II, Maketu Survey District, taken for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Maunganui-Bluff–Te Puke Section), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Te Puke Town District, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local authority most capable of conveniently and effectively controlling and maintaining the said road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be maintained by the Te Puke Town Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

Portion of Te Puke Railway-station yard, adjoining part Section W. 21, Te Puke Township.
Situated in Block II, Maketu Survey District (S.O. 18426).
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38552, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:
And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of a road: And whereas such road has been stopped, and it is desirable to declare the land contained therein to be Crown land: And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to declare such land to be Crown land:
