VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Automatic Safety Trolley-pole Company (Limited) held on 2nd November, 1915, the company passed an extraordinary resolution to the effect that it is proved to its satisfaction that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and accordingly decided to wind up the same voluntarily, and appointed CHARLES ALLISON, of Christchurch, Architect, as sole Liquidator for the purpose.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a certain public work—viz., the alteration of a line of main road in Whangara B No. 1 Block, and for that purpose to take the lands described in the following Schedule. The works to be undertaken are formation, metalling, and the construction of drains for the passage of surface water.
The owners of the land affected are Natives (Mr. H. C. Jackson, Trustee).
Any person having any objection to the taking of this land, or who will be injuriously affected by the proposed works, is required to state the objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, on or before the 11th December, 1915.
It is also proposed to “stop” a portion of the present road in the same block, and convey the land contained in the present road to the owners of the land taken.
A plan of the road to be taken and of the works to be undertaken may be seen at the office of the Council, Childers Road, Gisborne, daily during office hours.
Schedule.
AREA of land to be taken: 8 acres 0 roods 30 perches.
Situated in Whangara B No. 1, Blocks VI and X, Whangara Survey District.

COLLINGWOOD COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Collingwood County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of one thousand eight hundred pounds (£1,800), authorized to be raised by the said Council, under section 27 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913, and under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of erecting a new wharf at Collingwood, the said Collingwood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Collingwood; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of November and May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Collingwood County Council held on 1st day of November, 1915.

MATAURA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to sections 39–41 of the Rating Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Mataura taken on the 3rd day of November, 1915, on the proposal that the adoption of the system of rating property on the basis of the unimproved value thereof be rescinded in the Borough of Mataura, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 136, and the number recorded against the proposal was 129; informal, 2.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
