HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on a Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £4,300 for Public Works in the Opawa Riding of the County of Heathcote.

In pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Opawa Riding of the County of Heathcote taken on the 26th day of October, 1915, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £4,300 for public works in the Opawa Riding, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 48, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 92.

I therefore declare the proposal was rejected.

Dated this 30th day of October, 1915.

Result of Poll on a Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £4,000 to install Electric Light in the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote.

In pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote taken on the 28th day of October, 1915, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £4,000 to install electric light in the Avonside Riding, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 31, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 93.

I therefore declare the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

In pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the special-rating area of the Manurewa Road District was taken on the 16th day of October, 1915, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £400 for the purpose of forming and metalling Coxhead’s Road.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 19. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 6.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Eltham taken on the 29th day of October, 1915, on the proposal of the Eltham Borough Council to borrow the sum of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500) for the following purposes—namely, to provide and install at Eltham Borough Gasworks a foul main, retort-house governor, tower-scrubber, coke-cutter, exhauster, tar-tank, and additional retorts; to purchase additional gas-fittings, to renovate showroom for gas-fittings, and to provide any other plant or fittings necessary or incidental to the generation of and supply of coal-gas—the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 86, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 27; informal votes, 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
