thenoe north to the southern boundary of Sawmill Area 440A ;
thenoe west to south-western corner of said Area 440A ;
thenoe north to the district boundary, being the north-
western corner of Sawmill Area 440c.

Also all that area in Block XIX, Jacob’s River Hundred,
containing approximately 141 acres, being part of Sawmill
Area 490A, and bounded commencing at the north-western
corner of said Sawmill Area 490A, thence easterly to the
State forest boundary, thence southerly along the said State
forest boundary to the south-easternmost corner of said
Sawmill Area 490A, thence westerly to its western boundary,
and thence northerly to the commencing-point.

Also all that area in Blocks XVII, Jacob’s River Hundred,
and X, Longwood Survey District, containing 220 acres 1 rood
7 perches, more or less, being Sawmill Area 444A and internal
reserves, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the
south-western corner of said Sawmill Area 444A, thence at a
bearing of 26° 30′ for a distance of 913·5 links, thence at a
bearing of 37° 30′ for a distance of 4011·5 links, thence due
east for a distance of 4057·2 links, thence at a bearing of
181° 46′ 30″ for a distance of 4001·9 links, thence due west
for a distance of 6782·8 links to the commencing-point ;
be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
XXII/801B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that area in Blocks IX and XII, Longwood Survey
District, containing 677 acres approximately, being Sawmill
Areas 430A, 430B, 430C, part of 546, and adjoining worked-
out bush land, bounded as follows: Commencing at the
south-western corner of Sawmill Area 430A aforesaid ; thence
northerly, westerly, and again northerly along the State forest
boundary to the northern boundary of Sawmill Area 546 ;
thenoe easterly to a point in line with the eastern boundary of
Sawmill Area 430B : thence southerly to the State forest
boundary ; thence westerly along the said State forest
boundary to the point of commencement. As the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXII/801C, de-
posited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District, containing
approximately 194 acres, being abandoned sawmill-workings
in Block VI, Forest Hill Hundred, and bounded towards the
east generally by Sections 289, 262, and the abutment of a
public road, Block VI ; towards the south generally by Crown
Land in Block II ; towards the west by a closed road ; and
towards the north by Crown land and the southern boundary
of Sawmill Area No. 500A ; all in Forest Hill Hundred. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
XXII/1244, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Proclamation dated the 24th day of February, 1886, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of the 4th day
of March, 1886.

Land in Nelson Land District declared to be subject to
Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Nelson Land District
has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land
described in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief,
owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no
control preventing the profitable occupation of such land :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described
in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of
section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act,
1908 ; and I do further fix four years from the date men-
tioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said
land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

1915.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended
under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in con-
nection with any block of land unless that block is set apart
for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in
that behalf :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the
Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.
