Provided that the Mount Roskill Road Board may license any person to keep one or more than one pig in the said part of the Mount Roskill Road District if kept in a sty or sties having a floor or floors made of concrete or other impervious material, and constructed so that there shall be no soakage of soil with pigs’ food or urine; and may revoke such license if satisfied that the keeping of such pig or pigs causes or is likely to cause a nuisance, or pollutes or is likely to pollute the said water-supply.

This by-law shall apply to the aforesaid part of the Mount Roskill Road District only, and shall come into force on being gazetted.

If any person commit a breach of this by-law he shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £5, and in the case of a continuous breach to an additional fine not exceeding £5 for every day on which the breach is continued after the first day.
I hereby approve the foregoing by-law.

THE following notice, received from the Council of the Borough of Winton, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF WINTON.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Winton was taken on the 12th day of October, 1915, at the Borough Council Chambers at Winton, on the proposal of Winton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,775 for the purpose of the installation of additional electric-lighting plant and making provisions for the carrying of the night-load in the Borough of Winton, and all other necessary works incidental thereto, together with the procuring and constructing of all machinery and plant and the paying for labour and freight, carriage, and cartage, and the doing and carrying-out of all other things necessary for such works, and everything relating or incidental thereto. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 33, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
