Appointing Members of Assessment Court under the Valuation of Land Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be members of the Assessment Court for the special district set opposite their names.

Approving the Term of the License granted to William Pascoe by the Inangahua County Council for the Tramway along the Road from Pascoe’s Colliery to the Waitahu Railway-siding.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section sixteen of the Tramways Act, 1908, as amended by section six of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1911, that any local authority may from time to time, on the application of any person in that behalf, grant a license to such person to lay down, construct, and maintain a private tramway on, along, or across any street or road under its control, subject to such terms and conditions as such local authority approves, provided that such tramway shall be used only in connection with and for the purposes of the business of such person, and that such business shall not be the carriage of passengers or goods for hire:
And whereas it is provided by section ten of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, that the license may be for such term not exceeding twenty-one years as the Governor in Council approves:
And whereas William Pascoe, of Spreydon, in the Provincial District of Canterbury, has made application to the Inangahua County Council for a license to lay down, construct, and maintain the private tramway described in the Schedule hereto:
And whereas the said Council has granted such license for a term of twenty-one years from the twenty-second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, subject to the approval of the Governor in Council:
And whereas such tramway is to be used by the said William Pascoe in connection with and for the purposes of colliery business, and such business is not the carriage of passengers or goods for hire:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the aforesaid term.
SCHEDULE.
THE private tramway commencing on the road reserve on the eastern bank of the Waitahu River at a point at the western boundary of Section 39 of Block X of the Reefton Survey District, running thence in a north-westerly direction along the said road reserve to the road bridge across the said Waitahu River, thence over the said road bridge now in course of construction to the road reserve on the south-west bank of the said river, thence west-north-westerly along the said road reserve to the road reserve separating Sections 73 and 78 of Block X of the Reefton Survey District, thence in a west-south-westerly direction along a road reserve to a point at or near the Reefton-Inangahua Railway line. Approximate length, 3 miles and 40 chains.
In the Nelson Land District; as the said tramway is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38411, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Kaponga Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eight, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Kaponga Domain:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed has expired:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE KAPONGA TOWN BOARD
to be the Kaponga Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the sixteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, at eight o’clock p.m.,
