Vesting a Reserve in the Waitaki County Council.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for county buildings: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waitaki County :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waitaki County, in trust, as a reserve for county buildings.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 0·6 perches, more or less, being Section 2 of 7, Block XCV, Town of Oamaru, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by Severn Street, 318·5 links ; towards the south-east by Thames Street, 224 links ; and towards the south-west by Section 6 of 7, Block XCV, Town of Oamaru, 226·5 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/1 (82), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Appointing a Member of the Otago Harbour Board.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS it is provided by section seventeen of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, that the office of any member of a Harbour Board shall become vacant if, inter alia, he resigns his office by writing under his hand delivered to the Secretary or Chairman of the Board :
And whereas it is provided by subsection two of section eighteen of the said Act that when an elective member other than a representative of a constituent district vacates his office on the Board through the operation of the said section seventeen, the Governor may, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place :
And whereas William Belcher, an elective member of the Otago Harbour Board, being a representative of the combined district of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda, has resigned his office as a member of the Board, and it is desirable to appoint a qualified person as a representative of that district in his place :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, doth hereby appoint JOHN HENRY FRANZIS HAMEL to be a member of the Otago Harbour Board as a representative of the combined district of the City of Dunedin and the Borough of St. Kilda, in the place of William Belcher, resigned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Opening Lands in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Sale or Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen ; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Hilly land covered with manuka, with mixed bush in the gullies. Soil light. Altitude, about 1,600 ft. above sea-level. Seventeen miles to Tolago Bay by dray-road.

Hilly land covered with light mixed bush. Soil fair. Altitude, 1,600 ft. above sea-level. Eighteen miles and a half to Tolago Bay by dray-road.
