Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the block or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included therein, by the Governor by Order in Council; and thereupon the land so subject to that Part of that Act shall, to the extent of that revocation, cease to be so subject: No land shall by reason of any such Order of revocation cease to be subject to that Part of that Act at any time during the continuance of the term of any lease of that land granted by a Maori Land Board under that Part of that Act (including in that term the term of any renewal to which the licensee is entitled):
And whereas the parcel of land known as Rotokautuku 6k 2a Block has, by an Order in Council dated the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and nine, been brought under the provisions of Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909: And whereas application has been made to revoke the said Order in Council in so far as it affects the said parcel of land:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board recommends accordingly: And whereas it is expedient so to do:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council in so far as it affects Rotokautuku 6k 2a Block; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Howell’s Point Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of October, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eight, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Howell’s Point Domain:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen:
And whereas it appear expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE RIVERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
to be the Howell’s Point Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Riverton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

HOWELL’S POINT DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, being portion of Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, Block II, and Sections 46, 47, 48, Block I, Jacob’s River Hundred, containing by admeasurement 70 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of Section 49 of said Block I three chains from high-water mark; thence towards the north by a right line to a point on the south-eastern boundary of said Section 47 three chains from high-water mark, thence by a right line to a point on the south-eastern boundary of said Section 28 three chains from high-water mark, thence by a right line to a point on the south-eastern boundary of said Section 26 three chains from high-water mark, and thence by a right line to a point on a road forming the north-eastern boundary of said Section 22 eight chains from high-water mark; thence towards
