Notice to Mariners No. 85 of 1915.
AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—PROTECTED AREAS FOR YACHTS AND LAUNCHES.

Wellington, N.Z., 8th October, 1915.
THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that with reference to Notice No. 61 of 1913 regarding the above, it has been found necessary to make slight alterations to two of the existing protected areas for yachts, and they are now defined as follows:—
Area No. 3, Stanley Bay.—That area of Stanley Bay east of and enclosed by the east side of the Stanley Bay Wharf, and thence by a line from the S.E. corner of the landing-stage at the end of the Stanley Bay Wharf, N. 85° E. magnetic, to the S.W. corner of the Sheerlegs Wharf, Calliope Dock, and thence by the embankment to the shore.
Area No. 4, Devonport.—That area enclosed by a line starting from a position approximately 120 ft. east of the base of H.M.C.S. “Iris” Wharf, thence by a line S. 2° E. magnetic 740 ft., thence by a line S. 80° E. magnetic 350 ft., thence by a line N. 80° E. magnetic 660 ft., thence by a line N. 61° E. magnetic 175 ft. to the western dolphin of the vehicular landing-stage, Victoria Wharf, thence by a line N. 1° W. magnetic 445 ft. to the shore.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—TIME-SIGNAL.

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 77 of 1915, the Auckland Harbour Board have notified that on the nights when the time-signal is expected but does not come through, the red light will remain burning until 9.5 p.m., thereby notifying shipping that the signal has not been received.

Notice to Mariners No. 87 of 1915.
ASTROLABE ROAD.—BEACON ON HAPUKA REEF.

NOTICE is hereby given that a beacon has been erected on Hapuka Reef. The beacon is 22 ft. high and 12 ft. above high water. It has a cage surmount of 5 ft. 2 in. diameter. The buoy referred to in Notice to Mariners No. 92 of 1911 will be removed in about six weeks time.

11,200 lb. twine, fine, Italian hemp.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral run will be offered for license by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Friday, the 26th day of November, 1915, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and its amendments.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
Class A.
RUN 110: Area, 14,000 acres; term, twenty-one years; upset annual rental, £200.
Situated about twenty miles from Blenheim. Access by good metalled road for about seventeen miles, balance by unformed road up Omaka River. Altitude from 500 ft. to 6,000 ft. The lower portions of the spurs and valleys contain fair summer feed, chiefly tussock and native grass; the balance is high barren country.
The improvements which go with the run consist of fencing valued at £105.
Possession will be given on 1st March, 1916.
