Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Roads in Maungaharuru and Waitara Survey Districts, Hawke’s Bay Land District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of sections 213 and 234 of the Land Act, 1908, that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, on the 17th day of August, 1915, duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 29th day of June, 1915.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XII, Kaiteriteri Survey District, for Road Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block XII, Kaiteriteri Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Riwaka, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 10 acres.

Portion of Section 5, Square 9, Block XII, Kaiteriteri Survey District.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36119, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Formosa Exhibition, April–May, 1916.—Notice No. 1804.

Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce,
Wellington, 6th October, 1915.

IT is hereby notified for public information that an Industrial Exhibition, promoted by the Governor of Formosa, is to be held at Taihoku, Formosa, Japan, from 10th April to 9th May, 1916.

Cordial invitations to exhibit products have been extended to South China, Hong Kong, the Commonwealth of Australia, the Dominion of New Zealand, British India, Dutch India, French India, Siam, and the Philippine Islands.

Any one desiring to exhibit is requested to inform the Governor of Formosa of the names of the articles, their quantity, number and dimensions, area of space required, and the necessary number of trestles or stands upon which to place the exhibits. This information should be forwarded, if possible, by the 31st October, 1915.

All articles of exhibition will be admitted to Formosa free of Customs duty, and the use of floor-space, stands, and trestles will also be free. For those desiring to erect buildings or annexes special facilities will be given.
