HUNTLY TOWN BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Huntly Town District taken on the 22nd day of September, 1915, on the proposal of the Huntly Town Board to borrow a sum of £2,000 for more adequately supplying the town with electric light and power, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 64, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NGARUAWAHIA TOWN BOARD.
IN pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Ngaruawahia Town District was taken on the 2nd day of October, 1915, upon the proposal to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the purpose of duplicating the plant for generating electricity for street and house lighting in the Ngaruawahia Town District.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 69. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 19.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Kaponga Riding of the County of Eltham was taken on the 4th day of October, 1915, on the proposal of the Eltham County Council to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of erection of ferro-concrete bridges and culverts in Kaponga Riding as follows: (1) Otakeho Bridge (Eltham Road), £1,075; (2) Kaupokonui Bridge (Eltham Road), £750; (3) Auroa Road culverts, £175: total, £2,000—and which proposal is more fully described in advertisement appearing in the Hawera Star newspaper of 27th August, and 3rd, 10th, and 17th September, 1915.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 17. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 6.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Hairdressers’ and Tobacconists’ Shops in the Borough of Stratford, under the Shops and Offices Act.
W HEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops in the Borough of Stratford, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Christmas and New Year’s Eves, 11 p.m.; for period commencing 20th December and ending 4th January, with exception of Christmas and New Year’s Eves, 8 p.m.; for balance of year as under: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, 5.30 p.m.; Wednesdays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 9.30 p.m.:
And whereas the Stratford Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the hairdressers and tobacconists doing business in the Borough of Stratford:
Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that from and after the 18th day of October, 1915, all hairdressers’ and tobacconists’ shops in the Borough of Stratford shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.
The notice gazetted on the 27th day of February, 1908, fixing the closing-hours of all tobacconists’ and hairdressers’ shops in the borough is hereby cancelled accordingly.
