Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 368 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that the Crown may purchase any Native land in pursuance of a resolution of the assembled owners passed and confirmed in accordance with Part XVIII of the said Act, and on the resolution being adopted by the Native Land Purchase Board it shall become a contract of purchase as between the Crown and all persons who are the owners of the land; and the Governor may by Proclamation, at any time after the contract of purchase has been so made, declare that the land so purchased is vested in His Majesty the King, and it shall vest accordingly, and shall become Crown land:
And whereas a resolution was passed by a meeting of assembled owners, and duly confirmed by the Waiariki District Maori Land Board, that the land set out in the Schedule hereto be sold to the Crown:
And whereas the Native Land Purchase Board duly considered and adopted the resolution:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and sixty-eight of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,619 acres, more or less, and being the northern portion of Tuararangaia No. 1B Block, on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Auckland, under red, No. 9654. Bounded towards the north by Allotment 60c, Rangitaiki Parish; towards the south-east by the Tuhua Block; towards the south by other portion of said Tuararangaia No. 1B; and towards the north-west by Tuararangaia No. 1A.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the fifth section of the Land Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation of the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eight, in so far as it relates to the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and do declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said lands shall be and are hereby withdrawn from Horopito West Village Settlement.
ERRATUM.—In the description of the boundaries of Turanga Riding of Manukau County published in Gazette No. 98, of the 19th August, 1915, page 2938, after the words “Papakura Riding” in the eleventh line add “and the Papatoitoi Riding.”
