(b.) To defray the costs and charges of Messieurs H. Metcalfe and Sons for examining and reporting upon the proposed supply of water to the borough from Kaniwhaniwha, £500—

the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh of a penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area hereinafter described, comprising that portion of the Borough of Hamilton which was included in the borough on the 30th day of September, 1912. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Hamilton Borough Council at a duly constituted meeting held on Friday, 10th September, 1915..

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE FOR TE KUITI BOROUGH ELECTRIC LIGHT EXTENSION LOAN, 1915, OF £6,550.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand five hundred and fifty pounds (£6,550), authorized to be raised by the said Te Kuiti Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes:—

(1.) Suction producer, gas-engine and dynamo, accessories, foundations, and erection £ 3,200
(2.) Switchboard additions .. .. .. 85
(3.) Mains improvements .. .. .. 700
(4.) Main extensions .. .. .. 438
(5.) Payment of balance owing on original contract, £850; Cambridge gas-producer, £300; temporary plant charges, £200; Post and Telegraph Department’s charges, £125; Consulting Engineer’s fees, £102 .. .. 1,577
(6.) Contingencies, engineering, first year’s interest, flotation expenses, &c. .. .. 550

the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny (5d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of October and the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly carried at a meeting of the Te Kuiti Borough Council held on Monday, the twelfth day of July, 1915.

HUTT RIVER BOARD.

HUTT RIVER DISTRICT £5,000 LOAN FOR RIVER-PROTECTIVE WORKS (1915).—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt River Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Hutt River Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for river-protective works in the Hutt River District, the said Hutt River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of—

(a.) 9/120ths of a penny in the pound on Class A of the lands in the said district, being the lands receiving or likely to receive immediate and direct benefit from the said river-works;

(b.) 5/120ths of a penny in the pound on Class B of the said lands, being those receiving or likely to receive less direct benefit;

(c.) 2/120ths of a penny in the pound on Class C of the said lands, being those receiving or likely to receive only an indirect benefit therefrom.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period not exceeding thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Hutt River Board held on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of September, 1915.
