AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE BOARD.
SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board doth hereby by special order, in terms of section 62 of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908, resolve to borrow the sum of £100,000 sterling, such sum being in lieu of the sum of £100,000 authorized to be borrowed by special order passed on the 26th day of March, 1913, and confirmed on the 23rd day of April, 1913, which special order and all resolutions relating to raising the loan thereby authorized are hereby repealed and this special order substituted therefor, without prejudice to any existing rights created thereunder; and the said Board doth hereby further resolve that the debentures and coupons executed by the attorneys of the Board for the purpose of raising the said loan of £100,000 shall be cancelled, and new debentures issued in place thereof bearing interest at a rate not exceeding £5 per centum per annum; and this Board doth further resolve that such new debentures shall be held by the Bank of New Zealand as security for advances made by the bank against the said loan authorized by the resolution of the said Board of the 26th day of March, 1913, as confirmed on the 23rd day of April, 1913; and further that, if required by the said bank, a new deed of hypothecation over such new debentures shall be executed by the Board, and that in the meantime the security now held by the said bank shall not be affected.
The foregoing special order was made at a special meeting of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board convened on the requisition of the Chairman under date the 31st day of July, 1915, and held on the 9th day of August, 1915. It was publicly notified in the New Zealand Herald of the 14th and 28th days of August, 1915, the Auckland Star of the 18th day of August, 1915, and the 1st day of September, 1915, the Observer of the 21st day of August, 1915, and confirmed by the Board at a special meeting convened on the requisition of the Chairman under date the 3rd day of September, 1915, and held on the 6th day of September, 1915.

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL.
- THAT the following special resolution passed by the Council of the County of Geraldine at a special meeting held on the fifth day of July, 1915, be confirmed, that is to say:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and other charges on loans of one thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds and two hundred pounds respectively raised and authorized to be raised by the Council of the County of Geraldine, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the construction of water-races in that part of the county known as the Te Moana Water-race District, the said Council of the County of Geraldine hereby makes and levies an additional special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said Te Moana Kakahu Water-race District; and that such additional special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loans, and shall be payable on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loans, being a period of 36½ years, or until the said loans are fully paid off.”
- That the common seal of the county be affixed to the said special resolution striking the said special rate.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
MANGARERE ROAD NO. 3 LOAN.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of continuing the metalling of the Mangarere Road, the said Kiwitea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifth of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangarere Road No. 3 Special-rating District, being Sections 3 and 4A, Block X; 1, 2, part 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Block XIV; 6 and 10, Block XV; Hautapu S.D.
Such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first days of February and August in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year to be paid out of loan.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of June, 1915, and duly confirmed on the 17th day of July, 1915.

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
WHEREAS the Awakino County Council has raised a loan of £787 10s., under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Waipawa Road: And whereas such loan has been found insufficient to complete the undertaking in respect of which it was raised:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Awakino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £75 (portion of 10 per cent. on £787 10s.), authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the forming and metalling of the Waipawa Road from its junction with the Marakopa River Road to its junction with
