particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 295 acres, more or less, being Allotments 133, 134, 135, and 212, Kawakawa Parish (Block XI, Kawakawa Survey District). Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment 50, Kawakawa Parish, 2131·7 links; towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by Allotment 49 of the aforesaid parish, 2395·7 and 1767 links respectively; again towards the north-east by a public road 100 links wide 409, 542·3, 920·6, and 1147·4 links; again towards the south-east by Taumata Block, 1317, 622, 569, 633, 601, and 1054 links; towards the south-west by Waipuna Block and the abutment of a public road, 695, 1188, 691·2, and 411·5 links; again towards the south-east by a public road 100 links wide, 775·2, 428·4, 515·5, 527, 246·4, 224·8, 548·1, 477·2, and 403·3 links; towards the north-west by Allotment 132 of the aforesaid parish, 4492·9 links; again towards the north-east and north-west generally by a public road 100 links wide, 1254, 597·8, 1343·8, 1001·3, 393, 307·1, 511·9, and 99·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/621, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 17893, blue.) For water-conservation purposes.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 9 acres 0 rood 12 perches, more or less, being Section 14A, Block XII, Hukerenui Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 4, Block XII, Hukerenui Survey District, 1952·9 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 375·2, 179, 441·2, 507·8, and 483 links; and towards the south-west generally by a road, 152·9, 286·8, 65·9, 70·3, 250, and 72·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/6 (49), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple. (Auckland Plan 17593, blue.) For a site for a public school.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 5 acres, more or less, being Section 37, Block IX, Purua Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 506·5 and 350 links; towards the east and south-west by the Poroti Kauri-gum Reserve, 656 and 838·2 links respectively; and towards the west by the aforesaid Kauri-gum Reserve and Section 36, Block IX, Purua Survey District, 462·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/6 (28A), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (Auckland Plan 17670, blue.) For a site for a public school.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 1, Block V, Town of Mangaweka. Bounded towards the north by Kakariki Street, 100 links; towards the east by Section 2, 250 links; towards the south by Section 6, 100 links; and towards the west by Kereru Street, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 52676/32, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For the use of the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 521 acres, more or less, being Section 14, Block IV, Matiri Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by Section 11; towards the north-east generally by Sections 12 and 13; towards the south-east generally by a road one chain wide; and towards the south-west generally by a road of irregular width, both along the right bank of the Owen River; and towards the west and south-west generally by a road one chain wide along the left bank of Sandstone Creek. As the same is delineated on the plan marked VI/6 (57), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For an endowment for primary education.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 9·3 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3952 (formerly parts of Sections 26179 and 31494), situated in Block VI, Opawa Survey District. Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 31494 and bounded as follows: Towards the south-west and west by Rutherford’s Road, 726 links and 375·5 links respectively; towards the north-east by other part of Section 31494, 813·5 links; towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by Reserve 3953, 222·6 links and 150 links respectively; and again towards the south-east by the Albury Road, 181·9 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/529A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a public recreation-ground.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 8·7 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3953 (formerly part of Section 31494), situated in Block VI, Opawa Survey District. Commencing at a point on the Albury Road, the same being distant 181·9 links from the south-eastern corner of Section 31494; thence bounded by lines bearing 283° 25′, 150 links, 37° 43′ 30″, 222·6 links, 103° 25′, 150 links, and by the Albury Road, 222·6 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/529B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For a site for a public hall.
