THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and the Counties Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the
said quarry as from the date hereinafter specified, and
shall vest in the Corporation of the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo; and I do also
hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the eighteenth day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen.

Situated in Block XI, Otanake Survey District (S.O.
16518).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38195,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of
August, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen.

Amending Part of a Proclamation proclaiming Land as a
Street, and Street closed, in Block IV, Titirangi Survey
District, Borough of Mount Albert.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is
therein provided that every Proclamation, Order in
Council, and other instrument, whether made under any
Act in force prior to the commencement of that Act, or made
under or by virtue of that Act, and all regulations, by-laws,
conditions, or rules made by the Governor, the Minister, or
any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked from
time to time :

And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation
issued under the said Act, proclaiming land as a street and
street closed, in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, dated
the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred
and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 79,
page 2172, of the first day of the following month, and herein-
after referred to as “ the said Proclamation ” :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in me by the said Act, do hereby amend the said Proclama-
tion as follows—namely, by the substitution of 0 acres 0 roods
1·94 perches in lieu of 0 acres 1 rood 1·94 perches in the First
Schedule of the said Proclamation.

Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes
of a Road and Gravel-pit in Blocks I, Tutaki, and XVI,
Lyell Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it
is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making
of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works
Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any com-
pensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that
the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose
for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance
exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, or the making
or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent
Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation,
either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary :

And whereas it is found that the Proclamation taking land
for the purposes of a road and gravel-pit in Blocks I, Tutaki,
and XVI, Lyell Survey Districts, made under the Public
Works Act, 1908, and dated the twenty-sixth day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and fifteen (hereinafter termed
“ the said Proclamation ”), and published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 90, page 2612 of the twenty-ninth day of the same
month, contains an error in substance in that the piece of
land hereinafter mentioned is incorrectly described: And
whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the land
incorrectly described in the said Proclamation has not been
paid or awarded :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the
said Proclamation as affects one acre being described therein
as Section 47, situated in Block I, Tutaki Survey District
(shown coloured yellow on plan marked P.W.D. 37133,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington), being a part of the land taken by the said
Proclamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred
and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it
is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly
notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road
or any part thereof :

And whereas the Government road described in the
Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of
a road :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the
Schedule hereto.
