And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Lands in Wellington Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Wellington Land District has recommended that the Crown tenants of the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which they have no control preventing the profitable occupation of such lands:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix three years from the dates mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said lands shall be exempt from payment of rent.

Additional Land at Otahuhu taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land at Otahuhu, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—
1 rood 38·6 perches (coloured blue) and 2 roods 16 perches (coloured red), portions of Fairburn’s Claim 269A. D.P.s 2632 and 3981.
22·4 perches, portion of road (coloured green); and 3 roods 21·4 perches, portions of Sections 12, 60, 61, and 62, Eccleston No. 2 Settlement, portion of Fairburn’s Claim 269A (coloured brown). (S.O. 18153, blue.)

Situated in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District, Manukau County.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22799, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 3 roods 18·5 perches.

Being Lots 1 to 8 and part Lot 18, D.P. 1454, part Subdivision 9B of Section 2 (S.O. 1292).

Situated in Block XIII, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Petone.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22886, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged red.
