    Prohibitions.—Same as Portugal, except tobacco, tinder, and substitutes for matches. Additional: Opium and other drugs as specified under India. Observations.—Parcels can be accepted for the following places: Aldoná, Angediva, Bicholim, Calangute, Canacona, Cansaulim, Caranzalem, Chandor, Chaporá, Chinchinim, Collem, Colvalle, Cortalim, Cuncolim, Curtorim, Damão, Damão-Praça, Diu, Loutolim, Majorda, Mandur, Mapuçá, Marcella, Margão, Mormuágo (Porto), Mormugão (Vasco da Gama), Nagar-Avely (Pragañá), Nova-Goa, Pernem, Piedade, Ponda, Porvorim, Pragañá (Nagar-Avely), Quepem, Saligao, S. Lourenco, Sanguem, Sanguelim, Santo-Estêvam, Sanvordem, Siolim, Tivim, Valpoy, Vasco da Gama, Velha-Goa, Verna. Insured parcels may be accepted for all places except Angediva, Cansaulim, Chandor, Collem, Dâmao-Praça, and Majorda. Parcels containing umbrellas, sticks, maps, plans, or similar articles will be accepted up to a maximum of 3 ft. 3 in. in length, provided they do not exceed 7½ in. in breadth or thickness. | Portuguese India.
    Prohibitions. — Same as Portugal, with the exception of tobacco, tinder, and substitutes for matches, which are not prohibited. Observations.—Insurance confined to parcels for Ambriz, Benguela, Bissau, Bolama, Cabinda, Cachen, Loanda, Lobito, Lubango, Malange, Mossamedes, Nova Redondo, Porto Alexandre, Principe (Prince’s Island), St. Thomé. } | Portuguese West Africa.
    { Prohibitions.—Same as France, except that 22 lb. of cigars and 11 lb. of other manufactured tobaccos for private use may be imported per person per year. Observations.—Parcels for places other than La Pointe des Galets, Saint Denis, and Saint Pierre are subject to a charge for inland transmission on delivery. Via India: Parcels containing umbrellas, sticks, maps, plans, or similar articles will be accepted up to a maximum of 3 ft. 3 in. in length, provided they do not exceed 7½ in. in breadth or thickness. } | Réunion.
    { Prohibitions.—General: See South Africa, Union of. Additional—Via London: Oilskins and similar goods. Observations.—No parcel may exceed £50 in value. No compensation is paid in respect of loss or damage of parcels or their contents. A fee of 6d. or 1s. (according to value) for Customs clearance, &c., is levied on every dutiable parcel entering Southern Rhodesia; and a charge of 1s. is levied on all parcels entering Northern Rhodesia. Parcels for Northern Rhodesia should be strongly packed, and should have an outer wrapper of waterproof paper or canvas. Cardboard boxes should not be used. When extra protection is necessary the articles should be packed in wooden boxes. The addresses of all parcels for Rhodesia should indicate, whenever possible, whether the place of destination is in Northern or Southern Rhodesia. Southern Rhodesia: Plants are subject to special conditions, and can only be imported by a special permit from the Director of Agriculture, Salisbury, Rhodesia. Northern Rhodesia: Seeds and plants must be accompanied by a certificate of origin. } | Rhodesia.
