Prohibitions.—Same as Caroline Islands. Observations.—Same as Caroline Islands. Additional: The rates of postage for Guam are the same as for the United States of America. Marian Islands (except Guam).

Martinique.
Prohibitions.—Same as France. Observations.—The service extends to Aleg, Boghé, Boutilimit, Kaédi, M'Bout, Médérda, Mondléria, Nouakchott, Port Etienne, and Tidjikja. Parcels for other places may be accepted, but must be claimed at one of these offices, of which the name should appear in the address. All parcels are liable to charges for delivery. Insurance is confined to parcels for Boghé, Kaédi, and Port Etienne. Mauritania.
Prohibitions.—Same as France. Mauritius.
Prohibitions.—Bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins and similar goods, jams, sweetmeats, pastry, fruit, poisons, living animals (except bees in properly constructed boxes), and arms and ammunition. Observations.—No compensation is paid in respect of loss or damage of parcels or their contents. Parcels for Mexico must be so packed that they can be opened for Customs examination without breaking the cover, by simply untying, unscrewing, or unnailling. Parcels which do not measure more than 8 in. in depth or breadth may be as much as 3 ft. 3 in. in length. Mexico.

Monaco.
Prohibitions.—Very fragile articles, tobacco, salt, cotton-oil, vines and other objects that might convey phylloxera, medicines and cosmetics (unless for chemists), bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins and similar goods. Montenegro.
Montserrat.
Prohibitions.—Bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins and similar goods, arms, ammunition, opium, saltpetre, lead, sulphur, tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes, except for Alcazar, Fez, and Tangier, or when sent to persons having special permission to receive such articles. Observations.—The service extends to Alcazar, Casablanca, Fez, Larache, Marrakesh, Mazagan, Mogador, Rabat, Safi, Tangier, and Tetuan only. Parcels for Safi are liable to disembarkation at Mogador. Parcels for Alcazar and Fez, which are disembarked at Tangier, and parcels for Marrakesh, which are disembarked at Mazagan, should be addressed to the care of the British Post-office at the port of disembarkation. The addressees must make their own arrangements for payment of Customs duty and for onward conveyance from Tangier or Mazagan, as the case may be. Such conveyance is at the addressees’ risk and expense. Morocco.
