Defining the Middle-line of a Portion of the Kaipara—Waikato Railway (Karaka Deviation).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Kaipara-Waikato Railway (Karaka Deviation), (hereinafter termed “the said railway”), is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1914: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the said railway: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
KAIPARA—WAIKATO RAILWAY (KARAKA DEVIATION).
COMMENCING at a point on the existing line at about 25 miles on the railway chainage from Auckland, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally on the eastern side of the existing line to a point at about 26 miles 12 chains on the said chainage where it crosses the authorized line, and thence on the western side of the existing line to its junction with the existing line at a point about 27 miles on the railway chainage, being a distance of 2 miles, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Sections 83, 71, 69, Block VII; 73, Blocks VII and XI; 72 and 75, Block XI, Drury Survey District, Parish of Karaka; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Auckland: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36848, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies: and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway—namely, from Makaraka in a westerly and south-westerly direction to Hangaroa (hereinafter termed “the said railway”)—is a railway the construction of which was authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1912: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain the further portion of the said railway described in the Schedule hereto: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in pursuance and exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Section 7 (C.L.), Block XV, Waikohu Survey District, and marked 14 miles, which point is also the termination of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 23rd day of May, 1913, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 45, pages 1850 and 1851, of the 5th day of the following month; proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of 11 miles, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 7 (C.L.), Okahuatiu No. 2A, Okahuatiu No. 2B, Block XV, Waikohu Survey District; Section 2 (C.L.), part of Okahuatiu No. 2A, Sub. No. 1, Block XIV, Waikohu Survey District; part of Okahuatiu No. 2A, Sub. No. 1, Lot 3 and part of Lot 4, Okahuatiu No. 2A, Block II, Patutahi Survey District; part of Lot 4, Lot 5, Bush Reserves 6 and 7, Okahuatiu No. 2A, part of Okahuatiu No. 2c, Sub. No. 4, Block I, Patutahi Survey District; part of Okahuatiu No. 2c, Sub. No. 4, Block IV, Hangaroa Survey Survey District; marked 25 miles: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36896, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

WHEREAS a further portion of the Picton—Hurunui Railway—namely, from a point about one mile south of the Ure River, in Cape Campbell Survey District, to a point near the south side of the Kekerangu River in Block XIX, Whernside Survey District (hereinafter termed “the said railway”)—is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1911: And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

COMMENCING at a point in homestead site, part of Small Grazing-run No. 183, being Section 1, Block XVIII, Cape Campbell Survey District, marked 57 miles, which point is also the termination of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 24th day of August, 1912, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 70, pages 2595 and 2596, of the 29th day of the same month, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of about 5 miles, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., homestead-site, part of Small Grazing-run No. 183, being Section 1, and portion of Kainui Accommodation House Reserve, Block XVIII, Cape Campbell Survey District; portion of Kainui Accommodation House Reserve, being Section 1, and Post and Telegraph Reserve, being Section 2, Block X, Whernside Survey District; Crown lands and a road, Block X, Whernside Survey District; Crown lands and a road, Block XV, Whernside Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said road, Block XV, Whernside Survey District, marked 62 miles; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, tracks, reserves, roads, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Marl-
