The Public Service Classification and Superannuation
Amendment Act, 1908.—Election of Members of Board.

Education Department,
Wellington, 7th January, 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that an election will be held
for the purpose of electing as members of the
Teachers’ Superannuation Board two persons from among
the contributors to the Teachers’ Superannuation Fund
resident in the North Island, and two persons from among
the contributors to the said fund residing in the South
Island (including Stewart and Chatham Islands). And
notice is further given that—
(1.) The said election will be held on Monday, the 1st
day of March, 1915, at the office of the Education
Department, Wellington.
(2.) The poll will be closed at 5 o’clock p.m.
(3.) Nominations will close on Monday, the 8th day of
February, 1915, at 5 o’clock p.m.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908.—Notice
of Proposed Cancellation of Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application
in that behalf made to me by the Auckland City
Bricklayers’ (No. 2) Industrial Union of Workers, Registered
No. 999, situated at Auckland, and in exercise of the
powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of the
Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my
intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union
after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publica-
tion of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime
cause is shown to the contrary.

Election of Member of Marlborough Land Board.—Result of
Poll.

I, HENRY GAUNT PRICE, Returning Officer for the
election of a member of the Marlborough Land Board,
do hereby notify, in accordance with section 41 of the Land
Act, 1908, and the regulations thereunder, the result of the
poll taken by me on the 17th day of December, 1914, for the
election of a member of the Marlborough Land Board to be
as follows :—

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Lands in Taranaki Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the under-
mentioned land having been declared forfeited by
resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said land
has thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of
the Land Act, 1908.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

Section 9, Block VII, Mapara Survey District.

Formerly held by T. H. P. Davey. Tenure: Renewable
Lease No. 91. Reason for forfeiture: Non-fulfilment of

the Land Act, 1908, that Section 54, Block IV, Catlin’s
Survey District, Otago Land District, containing 135 acres
2 roods 4 perches, will be disposed of under the provisions of
the said Act on or after Thursday, the 8th day of April, 1915.

1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 326 of
the Land Act, 1908, that part of Section 62, Block IX,
Glenomaru Survey District, Otago Land District, containing
5 acres, more or less, will be disposed of under the provisions
of the said Act on or after Thursday, the 8th day of April, 1915.

Land in Ballachraggan Settlement, Auckland Land District,
for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 24th December, 1914.

NOTICE is hereby given, under section 21 of the Land
Laws Amendment Act, 1913, that the undermentioned
land is open for selection on renewable lease, under the pro-
visions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Land
for Settlements Act, 1908; and applications will be received
at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 25th day of
January.

The ballot, in case there is more than one applicant, will be
held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on
Thursday, the 28th day of January, 1915, at 2.30 o’clock p.m.
Preference will be given to landless applicants who have
children dependent upon them, or who have within the pre-
ceding two years applied for land at least twice unsuccessfully.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PIAKO COUNTY.—WAITOA
SURVEY DISTRICT.—BALLACHRAGGAN SETTLEMENT.

SECTION 29, Block XI: Area, 34 acres 3 roods 10 perches ;
capital value, £410; half-yearly rental, £9 4s. 6d.

Level open land, 40 ft. above sea-level. Four miles from
Waitoa Railway station by formed road. Soil rich loam on
clay. Surface-watered. All in grass, with some fescue.

The improvements, which are included in the capital value,
consist of 88 chains boundary fencing, 10½ chains subdivisional
fencing, and 10½ chains boundary drain; the half share in
the whole being valued at £38.

Terms of lease may be seen and forms of application obtained
at this office. Applicants are particularly requested to see
that their answers to the questions on the application form
are full and complete.
