THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

of Section 10, Suburbs of Howick ; towards the west generally
by the middle of the road forming the western boundaries
of Lots 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, and 11 of Section 10 aforesaid ;
and towards the north generally by the middle of the road
forming the northern boundary of Lots 11 and 6 of Section 10
aforesaid to the Hauraki Gulf, and by the gulf to the point
of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
Boundaries of Pakuranga Road District.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east by the Hauraki Gulf from the northernmost part of Allotment 56, Pakuranga Parish, Manukau County, to the eastern boundary of Lot 18 of Section 9, Suburbs of Howick ; towards the east generally by Lot 12 of Section 9 aforesaid to the road forming the western boundary of Lot 12 aforesaid, thence by the middle of that road and the middle of the road forming the western boundaries of Lots 12, 11, 6, 4, and 3 of Section 9 aforesaid and the roads forming the north-west boundary of Lot 1, Suburbs of Howick, and Ridge Road, by the road forming the eastern boundaries of Allotments 12, 73, and 79, Pakuranga Parish aforesaid, to a point in line with the south-east corner of the last-mentioned allotment ; towards the south generally by a right line from the middle of the above-mentioned road to the south corner of Allotment 79 aforesaid, and by the southern boundaries of Allotment 79 aforesaid and Allotment 20, Pakuranga Parish aforesaid, to the Pakuranga Creek, and by that creek to the Tamaki River ; towards the west generally by the Tamaki River to the place of commencement.
The above resolution passed at a special meeting of the Manukau County Council held on the 9th day of June, 1914, is hereby confirmed on this the 14th day of August, 1914.
I, Hugh Ross Mackenzie, Chairman of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the special order above named was duly passed and made by the Manukau County Council on the dates appearing therein, pursuant to the Counties Act, 1908, and the Road Boards Act, 1908.

Notice fixing Closing-hours of Watchmakers and Jewellers’ Shops in the Borough of Timaru under the Shops and Offices Act.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the watchmakers and jewellers’ shops in the Borough of Timaru, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops within the borough shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5.30 p.m., and on Saturday at 9 p.m. :
And whereas the Timaru Borough Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represents a majority of the occupiers of all the watchmakers and jewellers’ shops within the borough :
Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that from and after the 7th day of September, 1914, all watchmakers and jewellers’ shops in the Borough of Timaru shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.

BOROUGH OF PAHIATUA.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 31st day of August, 1914, a proposal was submitted by the Pahiatua Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Pahiatua for raising a special loan of £10,000 for the purpose of installing electric light and power in the said borough, and to assist owners
and occupiers to pay for the cost of connecting their buildings with any electric-light main, and of laying on all necessary fittings and meters ; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 180 ; against, 38 ; informal, 10.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

Result of Poll.—£3,000 Loan, Rangiaohia Riding.
Notice is hereby given that the result of the poll taken on Saturday, 22nd August, 1914, on the proposal to borrow £3,000 for metalling roads in the Rangiaohia Riding was as follows: For the proposal, 80 votes; against the proposal, 6 votes.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

FOLLOWING is the result of the poll taken on 25th August, 1914, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £60,000 for public works within Waimate West County: For the proposal, 248 votes; against the proposal, 21 votes.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Mangaweka Special-rating District, comprising all that area of the Mangaweka Town District known as Mangaweka Township and that portion of the Mangaweka Suburbs being sections numbered 107 to 118, inclusive—bounded on the north by Weka Street; on the east by Manga-te-Weka Stream; on the south by Sections 47 and 20, Village Settlement; and on the west by Main Trunk Railway from the south-western corner of the said Section 107 to the north of the said Section 118—was taken on the 20th day of June, 1914, on the proposal of the Mangaweka Town Board to borrow the sum of £1,350 for the purpose of connecting private properties within the aforesaid special-rating
