Stopping a Government Road in Block XII, Rangaunu Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 4 acres 0 roods 34 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Wiwhero Block (17134, blue). Situated in Block XII, Rangaunu Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D 34610, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Road in Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that portion of the land taken by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 91, page 3725, of the eighteenth day of the same month, is incorrectly described:

And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land incorrectly described: 4 acres 1 rood 18 perches (red), part of Section 1; 10 acres 3 roods (edged red), severance of Section 1.

Situated in Block V, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, Matata Parish (16715, blue).

All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34103 and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Amending Regulations for Auditing of Solicitors' Trust Accounts.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirty-first day of August, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section fourteen of the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1913, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke regulation number seven of the regulations made by Order in Council of the twenty-second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and doth hereby make the following regulation in lieu thereof; and doth declare that such regulation shall be published in and shall come into force upon the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATION.

  1. No accountant shall be deemed to be qualified, within the meaning of these regulations, unless he is a member of the New Zealand Society of Accountants, the Incorporated Institute of Accountants of New Zealand, or the New Zealand Accountants and Auditors Association approved by the Solicitor-General, or if he is or at any time within twenty-four months before the date of his report has been a clerk, servant, or partner of the solicitor whose accounts are so audited by him, or if he is a clerk or servant of any other practising solicitor, or he is himself a practising solicitor; provided that the Solicitor-General may, if he is satisfied that no accountant qualified within the meaning of these regulations is available, approve of any competent accountant nominated by a solicitor to audit his accounts.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block II, Karioi Survey District, Raglan County.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirty-first day of August, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Raglan County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise
